They got it tangled in tree branches when they were trying to run from bees! They're clumsy, and they constantly run into things, like into bee hives. (Is this why the bees got angry? maybe....)

why their hair is messy; Despite what you might assume, Apollo's actually amazing at doing hair, being the go to sima for hair styling, however he's never actually done his own hair. He's always busy doing other sima's hair that he's never had time to actually do his own hair! At first he didn't like this, but now he's grown used to his own messy hair to the point he honestly never thinks about fixing it anymore.
