This little cutie is making a flower bouquet for their friend! Using up to 5 flowers design a bouquet and explain why you choose those flowers and their meaning. You have a 200 words max and can either draw your bouquet or use an image of an existing bouquet with the proper image crediting. You may add one extra of either a single art piece or an extra 200 words but the contest will be primarily judged on the flower arrangement you create. Prettying up is allowed!

Strength;
Classified as a weed, Mina plucked a few from her garden. She didn’t have the heart to remove them; she knew they symbolized surviving challenges. She wanted to show her crush she would weather any challenges with her together.

Falling in love;
Slowly, Mina had found herself with a wonderous crush. It was a sweet, innocent thing, simply wanting to hold her hand, talk about nothing and everything, spend time around her. She carefully cut the stems of two of her home grown roses. it was starting to come together.

Mina looked at the tall sunflowers looking towards the sun. She carefully selected the prettiest she could find, cradling it gently with her other flowers.

Hani chose to pick each flower with its own meaning, while also picking flowers that were the same colour as the identity that she felt suited her best-- demisexuality. She chose hyacinths first, specifically a beautiful purple, as they were her favourite flower, and that's what she felt she associated with herself the most. With her second flower, she chose the heliotrope, based off of mythology, holding the meaning of unrequited love. It might seem a bit odd, but when Hani initially realized how she felt, she was able to realize it better by phrasing it that it was unrequited love towards how she felt, that she didn't feel things the same way. Next was the Lily of the Valley, symbolizing true love -- Hani felt that having true love was important to her, that having that genuine connection to someone was what mattered most. Hani then included the White Star Jasmine to symbolize sweet love, as she wants a romance that is sweet and happy to her, even if it has its faults sometimes; and finally, Thyme, to show that she wants to have strength and courage even when things get rough or when they don't work out.

When Hani decided to 'come out' to her dearest friend, about both herself and how she felt, she felt that expressing herself using flowers was the most appropriate. While most might not agree, Hani has always taken a particular liking to flowers, loving how each one is unique and grows differently, even though they are all still flowers. Like flowers, Hani feels that each person is unique and wonderful, but can grow in their own way and at their own pace to become different but still beautiful. She wanted to give her friend this bouquet of flowers as a sign of how Hani feels about herself and what she feels is important, but she also wanted to convey to her friend some important messages and values. The two friends have spent a lot of time trying to understand themselves and who they are, but agreed that it was most important to remain true to themselves and the values they share.

prompt: creating alluring bouquets for all sorts of occasions was simple, especially for augustine who works as a florist. this time, she needs to make one for her best friend to help reject someone's advances. so she gathers geraniums which mean stupidity, the person should use their head and respect boundaries; foxgloves which mean insincerity, the person probably doesn't have true romantic feelings; meadowsweets which mean uselessness, there's no use in having that person around; yellow carnations which mean disappointment, not respecting boundaries and persisting is pretty disappointing; and orange lilies which mean hatred, it's obvious that we both hate that person. "all done, full of loathing!" tying a bow to finish, she called her best friend and wished him good luck. [121/200]
extra: the day before, augustine was working in the comfort of her flower shop as always, carefully tending to plants. in the middle of a deep contemplation of what to have for dinner, a bell chimed and snapped her out of her thoughts. "welcome!" she called from behind the flowers. "good morning, august! it's an emergency, can you help?" the customer questioned. recognizing the voice of her best friend harper she smiled and urged him to take a seat. "okay, so, there's this guy at university who hits on me but doesn't go away even when i say no. i don't have other ideas so could you... maybe make a bouquet of rejection?" at that, the girl laughed. ignoring the fuming boy across the table. when she calmed down, she suggested to just 'give him the cold shoulder and if he doesn't stop i'll personally beat him up', but harper just pouted and insisted that she help. some bickering later, augustine bid him goodbye and began working on the flower arrangement, she could never refuse to help him out after all. Cherry has created a dry flower bouquet because their nose is too sensitive, and the allergies will kick
in! Kangaroo Paw is first, chosen for it's unique, "unequal" shape and vibrate colour, which stands out
amongst the others in their collection. Many Banksias are placed in and around the Kangaroo Paws. Th-
ey symbolise rebirth and new beginnings, relating to the first voyage to Australia that English naturalist
and explorer, Sir Joseph Banks (whom they are named after) was on. Eucalyptus nestles its way behind
and between the flowers, giving the bouquet a lovely green backdrop. Eucalyptus are symbols of leade-
rship, strength and connection. A few Billy Buttons reside in the arrangement, some of their long stems
threaded tightly and others left loose for a more quirky look. Often signifying good health, but also kno-
wn to “express the feeling that the receiver lights up the sender’s world.” Peach and white coloured
Baby's Breath is the last addition, adding a beautiful contrast between the yellow and green tones. Tra-
ditionally used in many bridal bouquets to express purity, innocence and everlasting love.
