Aurora smiled as she read over the words, letting her mind take them in and imagine the scene laid out before her, before gently turning the page with her thumb. She sat like that for hours, curled up in the chair in her study just reading, until finally she had finished the story. She closed the leather binding gently and flipped it to the front to stare fondly at the delicate gold lettering that seemed so common for first editions to boast. There was something extra special, she thought, looking down at the letters, in reading the words printed in the author's time - sort of like sharing a special bond with the author, and maybe even a little bit with those whose hands it had been passed from through the years, too.

Aurora let out a content little sigh as she got up, stretching wildly before placing the delicate - and rather valuable - bundle of papers bound with leather back in their place, nestled against several of its own kind. She had much to do today, and, although this was certainly her favorite place to be, she couldn't spend all day here, much as she would like to. She made her way to the study door, but just as she was about to turn out the light and leave, Aurora gave one final look at her precious possessions, drinking in the scent of old leather and paper, before finally flicking out the light and shutting the door behind her. She would be back for more stories tomorrow.
