Ursala had always wondered about the fallen, how they lived with their eyes opened. She had always wished that even for just a moment, she could open her eyes. It was her curiosity that killed the magic, as they say, because from the moment she opened her eyes, she was never the same. Her friends knew she had always considered opening her eyes, so on a truth or dare game, they dared her to open her eyes. And when she did, she felt… weaker. Like her soul had collapsed a bit. If she could turn back time, she would. Now other belldandy’s won’t dare to look at her, not even her friends.

Why have their eyes opened:

From birth, Nerezza hadn’t ever been able to see the world with her eyes closed like all the other Belldandys’. Like her name implied; darkness was all she ever saw. She could always remember her mother explaining to her that, despite being blind to their world, the world beyond their own was evil, something no creature should have to endure seeing. Nerezza was obedient at a young age, so she listened to her mother’s words and swore to never open her eyes for as long as she lived.
Unfortunately, one late afternoon her mother was never to be seen again. And was soon labeled dead. Nerezza couldn’t believe what she was being told. She had always believed what her mother told her about the outside world being an angry and an evil place– but now it seemed the world that they supposedly lived in was just as bad. She thought long and hard after that awful afternoon, and she came to the decision that opening her eyes would cause no harm.
The world was utterly beautiful, she saw no evil within it. Except Nerezza now felt evil within herself, she had tainted herself. She decided that she’d never have her magic lay dormant now. Nerezza became the source of tragedy; she caused destruction and death– she shredded lives apart and she tore down families– she became the origin of nightmares.

It all happened a long time ago. Though he was but a child, his heart was pure and innocent. He adored his own magic and loved watching magic tricks that magicians performed. Something about it was inspiring to him.

He wanted to perform like the magicians he was. Putting in some attempts to show off to his friends. At first it was small, but it grew and grew till it was growing to an obsessive level. He wanted to do more extreme tricks, some of which were considered dangerous to do. He grew wild in trying to find a companion to work with him. Wanting to nurture the skill that was driving his sanity to its brink.

Finally it grew too much that no one wanted to be near him due to how his energy changed. Now he felt abandoned by the ones he cared for. Wanted to share his skills and powers too. He felt betrayed. All his thoughts swirled before he got an idea. Magic didn’t have to be good. If his friends didn’t want anything to do with him now, then there's no point in having to play nice. With the thoughts in his mind, he willed his eyes open to the horrors around him. Opening himself fully to the change in his magic.

Maybe now, they will notice him.
