A Deeper Dive Into Personality:
---Phoenix is an Eevee who grew up among a crew of pirates, which has led to some interesting personality traits. She has a very tough time sitting still and doing nothing and can therefore be very impatient, especially when she wants whatever it is to be done or started now. Waiting around and being patient is definitely not her forte by any means and as a direct result of her impatience, she is prone to being quite reckless in pursuit of getting whatever it is done faster. This recklessness has gotten her into trouble far more times than she cares to count; however, thanks in large part to her resourcefulness, Phoenix is usually able to get herself out of most messes that she manages to get herself into -generally speaking.
---Nix is also quite an adventurous Eevee, certainly being bold and reckless enough to start their own adventure whether they meant to or not. This adventurousness does tend to get hindered though, especially by their superstitious nature which is heavily influenced by her pirate upbringing. This means that Phoenix has several superstitions that tend to rule their life in some regard, be it that she carries around a good luck charm to avoiding losing a hat overboard (hence why she doesn't own or wear one).
---Phoenix can be more than a little bit rough around the edges, she definitely ain't dainty by any means considering her pirate upbringing, but that definitely doesn't mean that she lacks a squishy soft center. She has a soft spot for children, especially those who were also orphaned or abandoned.Team:

---If Phoenix were to be completely honest,
she really looks up to Bandit. She feels an
extreme amount of gratitude towards him
for allowing her to come along with him and
the rest of Team Redemption on the mission
to retrieve the medicine and also for allowing
her to join the rescue team itself! She does find him a bit
intimidating sometimes, but it's mostly because she doesn't
want to disappoint him.• • •---Phoenix gets along pretty well with Banzai,
although she thinks he can be a bit uptight
and pushy, but she knows that he means
well despite his grumpiness. She enjoys
teasing him quite frequently, she's really
not sure why, but she wants to get him to
smile a bit more and grimace/scowl less.• • •---At the time of Phoenix's hiring of Rescue
Team Redemption to help her with the
medicine retrieval mission, Dulcie was
still not but just a wee egg, but not long
after Phoenix became a member of the
rescue team that egg has now hatched into
this cute little fluffball now roams free. Phoenix is often the one
who tends to be in charge of taking care of Dulcie since she is
the only one with the calmest demeanor in the group for Dulcie
to easily bond with. She has a strong sense of kinship with
Dulcie considering their similar pasts, both being abandoned or
orphaned by their parents.

• Has given quite a bit of consideration into what she would evolve into (whenever it came time and she wanted to) and can't decide between Vaporeon (so she won't be afraid of drowning anymore) or Sylveon (in honor of the Sylveon who caused her to want to become a better Pokémon)
• Has a crippling fear of bananas (but only in relation to when they're on or near a ship)
• Due to her fear of drowning, she has a hard time taking baths, but she also doesn't want to become stinky, so she often enlists Laura the Lapras to help her out and use Water Gun to shower her with water so she can clean herself without fear of drowning.
• Loves seeing & visiting new places, but doesn't like like having to walk to get there since she's used to just sailing to a location. 10/10 would build a land boat if she could and "sail" to places instead of having to walk.
• While not illiterate, Phoenix's literacy rate is low for her age and her spelling is for sure not the best. Despite this, she does enjoy reading.
• For some inexplicable reason she fears that someone will give her an evolution stone disguised as something else to trick her into evolving against her wishes. She's not really sure where this irrational fear came from...
---Phoenix's past is shrouded in mystery, even to her. She has next to no memory of who her parents are or what happened to them, the only remnant of her biological parents is seeing the sad look in their eyes as snow fell down around them before she found herself drifting away in a barrel in the Kiken'na Ocean.
---What she does remember is being found and taken in by a "guild" of pirate Pokémon on their ship The Howl of Scorn, sometimes known as the The Howl for short. Since she was too young to know the name that was given to her by her family, the crew ended up naming her themselves. They called her Poppet "Calmness" Addington, the "calmness" part being chosen due to the fact that she didn't cry and never seemed scared when they found her. Despite them choosing the name Poppet, she was sometimes instead called Poppy for short by the kinder members of the crew and sometimes Two-Tails by those who didn't really care too much about her. Most frequently though, she was just called "girl." She hated that one the most out of all the things that the crew called her and the number one transgressor was Sinbad the Purrloin.
---Growing up aboard The Howl of Scorn led her to have a very interesting life, but she did not enjoy it. She never felt truly and wholly welcome among the rest of the crew, despite her best efforts. She started off as a cabin boy girl and gradually worked her way up the ranks. The captain, a very frightening Feraligator called Captain Agro, often threatened to feed her to the Sharpedo or eat her himself if she ever disobeyed his orders or messed up an attack on another ship. He never did go through with it, even when she did mess up and things looked bad, but she was always afraid for her life and would frequently have to bargain her way back into his good graces or remind him of her usefulness as she was the smallest Pokémon on the crew and could fit into small spaces.
---She never thought to leave the crew until the day that they attacked a ship called Mercy which was carrying medical supplies to a town where a particularly nasty illness was raging, there is where she encountered a mother Sylveon and her Eevee daughter while the rest of Poppet's crew were looting the ship. For the first time in her life, she hesitated in what had become a routine procedure. The Sylveon asked her questions that shook Poppet to her core and made her question herself as well as reconsider her life. She was used to stealing money, treasure, trinkets to make her and the rest of the crew wealthy, but stealing medicine was a new low and she didn't like it, but there was nothing she could do about it.
---Unfortunately, the guilt gnawed at her after that fateful meeting, Poppet tried desperately to forget it ever happened and shake the feelings that the meeting with the Sylveon had caused to reemerge. Days went by and the feelings did not subside or go away. She had to right this wrong, that town needed that medicine. She didn't know how she was going to steal all or any of that medicine and get it to the town though, much less move it to one of the dinghies without getting caught and row away from the place where their ship regularly docked for the night. She had to try though.
---She didn't know why she had to, maybe all those years of feeling like she didn't belong here were finally causing her to do something, making her think that she was destined for far more than this retched life in which she did nothing but cause harm and misfortune unto others.
---The night after wrestling with her feelings and finally resolving to right the wrong and get the medicine to the town that needed it, she decided to practice her plan while on watch duty, she experimented with the idea of using Baton Pass as a way to teleport herself and the medicine to the nearest dinghy. The trials proved successful, but she would only be able to take one tray of medicine with her on her back. She decided that she was enact the plan the next night and would also leave this life behind for good.
---The following night, when The Howling Scorn had docked near it's usual location near the cave known as Devil's Hideout, Phoenix waited until everyone was asleep before sneaking on shore to head towards the cave and get ahold of the medicine. Unfortunately for her, Phoenix ended up being discovered by one of her shipmates, specifically a male Purrloin by the name of Sinbad who happened to be in the cave where the medicine was being kept along with all the other loot. She hadn't been expecting anyone to be in the cave, she tried her best to play it cool but she could tell that Sinbad saw right through her. She probably shouldn't have been surprised by this at all as Sinbad had never liked her and had always been the standout among the crew of those who wanted her gone. Sinbad thought that she was bad luck and that nothing good would ever come of having her around.
---All of this was why Phoenix wasn't at all surprised that Sinbad sounded the alarm which resulted in her being captured, bound, and later interrogated by Captain Argo. The interrogation was merely a formality Phoenix realized, for it quickly become clear to her that the changes in her pattern of behavior that had occurred during the time when she was struggling with her feelings had alerted Captain Agro to the fact that something was up. When the interrogation had been finished, Phoenix was forced to "walk" the plank blindfolded with her own scarf while her legs were tied up with the other scarf of hers. She was left to die on a deserted island, or at least that was certainly Captain Agro's hope when he left her there on the Isle of Rebirth.
---By a stroke of luck, on the second day of being stranded on the island, a Lapras happened to see Poppet's attempt to call for help by constantly using swift into the sky. The Lapras introduced herself as Laura and asked Poppet what her name was.
---Realizing that this was an opportunity to leave behind her old life for good, she decided to pick a new name for herself.
---"My name is Phoenix," is what she told Laura, feeling that it was fitting. From the ashes of her failure, she would rise a better Pokémon.
---During the trip, Laura asked her many things, but they were all focused on how she wound up stranded on that island. Phoenix told her and together they determined that the best course of action was for Phoenix to go to Freeheart Town and post a mission on the board there for a rescue team to help her. Phoenix wasn't so sure about this plan as she very much wanted to be a part of the mission herself. She didn't tell Laura, but this was her first step towards being a better Pokémon and she very much wanted to make that step instead of just stand by. She resolved to make it a requirement that the rescue team that took on her mission had to take her along with them so she could help right the wrong that she was a part of making.Mission Prep Playlist:Regarding her Accessories:Scarves

Isle of Rebirth are actually ones that she was wrapped
in as a baby to keep her warm in the barrel, they are
the only tangible thing she owns that may help her one
day find her family. She tends to always leave one of
them at the base just in case because she never wants
to lose both of them and thereby lose perhaps the only
shot she has at ever finding out what happened to her
parents.Phoenix ended up getting her ear pierced as a
Bracelet/Cuff
right of passage from the crew when she was about
12 years old, the earring was made by one of the crew
members using a gem that Phoenix had found during
one of her very first raids that she had gone on with
the crew which was a raid upon a rival pirate ship.The bracelet which Phoenix wears was an item
Vest
which was stolen at the same time and from the same
ship as as the gem that was used to make her earring.
For the longest time, it was nothing but a pretty bobble
to wear upon her wrist to match her earring, but she has
now come to discover that both the bracelet happens to
originate from the same place as where her scarves happen
to come from.In typical pirate fashion, this vest is one which
Phoenix happened to have taken a particular fancy
to while pillaging a ship and decided that it would
look much better on her than on them, so she chose
to take it off of the Pokémon who happened to be
wearing it, thanking them for their contribution
to her wardrobe as she did so.

A short-story
---Phoenix sat impatiently near the mission board in Freeheart Town, it had been a week since she had posted the mission and still there were no rescue teams who had taken it on. Tapping her left back foot, she wrinkled her face in frustration and puffed her right cheek out in anger. She was done waiting, she needed she to be proactive and get this mission done! She resolved to go to the team bases for each and everyone single one of the local rescue teams.
---She was unfortunately largely unsuccessful in that endeavor and by the time she started walking towards the last and newest of the rescue teams, she was losing hope and was prepared for yet another rejection.
---She knocked on the door and was greeted by a strange looking Fennekin and a Poochyena, before they even had a chance to say more than "Hello, how can we help you?"
---Phoenix launched into what the mission was and how important it was to her, how she wanted to be able to come along with them if they accepted the mission because she wanted to make amends, to become a better Pokémon and leave her pirate life behind for good.
---By the time that she had finished, the two of them smiled at her, "Of course we'll help you! That's what Rescue Team Redemption is all about! We're here to help Pokémon redeem themselves and start a new life!"
---She thanked them both profusely, relieved to have finally found a rescue team that would be willing to help her out. She informed them though that unfortunately, she didn't have any money with which to pay them, let alone special items to use as alternative payment. They refused to let her pay them though, insisting that there was no need to pay them as they were just happy to be able to help her.
---She felt guilty though about not being able to pay them, it gnawed at her even as they began their preparations for the mission ahead.
---When they were finished getting ready, Phoenix decided to approach the team leader, Bandit, to talk to him.
---"When this mission is done, I'd like to join the guild so I can repay you for helping me," she told him, cutting to the chase instantly.
---"Oh, uh, I'd have to talk it over with Banzai after the mission," Bandit began, she could tell that she had caught him off guard, "but since it's currently just the two of us and the egg, we'd be happy to have you so long as you promise to work hard and...help us take care of the egg. Banzai is getting tired of carrying the egg around on missions," he laughed and Phoenix couldn't help but smile. This group was so vastly different than a pirate crew, it was a nice change of pace from the more brutish and rough company that she grew up with.• • • • • • • • • •
---It was morning when they set off to town, thanks in large part to the intel which Phoenix had provided them with, they knew exactly where and when to set on their mission. They ended up getting aid from Laura the Lapras, who had happened to be continuing to come back to the docks of Heart's Bay to see if Phoenix had gotten help, she agreed to help them get to and from Devil's Hideout as well as carry the medicine to the town it was for.
---Phoenix was anxious during the entire trip, her tails lashing about as she worried about everything that could go wrong. Perhaps the crew had changed up their usual tactics because of her? No...that's not possible. They left her for dead on that island. There was no possible way...right?
---All of Phoenix’s concerns continued swirling about though and they quickly became a raging whirlpool within her mind, one which contained all of the worst possible scenarios that could play out. To stop the whirlpool from becoming too much, she shook her head to dislodge the thoughts.
---No, she thought to herself, I won’t let any of this happen. I’m going to make sure this goes well. It has to.
