Personality: Cruz kept his nose low to the ground, lips always pulled up into a silent growl. He regarded his position as one of singular vultures highly, hood drawn to cover his dark eyes. He was resourceful and every step was deliberate- even the cracking branch under his paws was intentional. He stuck to trails for days, nose getting stuffy with sand and dust over the miles he would travel.
Despite the burning on his pads to stop, rest and take a moment to get his bearings, he would continue. While obstacles lead to losses of time, nothing could bring Cruz's legs to a complete halt. Throwing in the rag wasn't an option. Unintentionally, Cruz would work blisters onto himself with his hood tight around his neck.
Cruz would stop at no end to bring back his victory, even if it meant his inevitable death. [144W]

Despite not getting through protection work in the K-9 Unit, Dex would turn on a dime to save any of his friends, even if it was at the detriment to him; Dex was known all over his island, nothing could hide from Dex, and nothing would come between him and the lives of people who he so willingly looked after

He's a high energy dog and needs a lot of room to run around and play, so he's typically seen in the training fields at Polar North, either chasing the other dogs or playing with his handler. When he's not in the fields, he enjoys relaxing around the cabins, especially in his heated dog bed, which is perfect for sleeping on those cold nights. Markus enjoys attention and will not hesitate to nudge his handler's arm for a head pat or a 'good boy', and will also nudge other dogs and try to get them to play or nap with him.
