Prompt:Koza is an untold legend of Christmas time. He is sort of a krampus in a way. His favorite treat is goat. Like krampus Koza is said to take bad little goats and kids away and make them into his dinner. Good little goats and kids are left a small gift. Koza does not neglect any goat, every year he visits the Yule goat and leaves him a gift, and Koza has a never ending hunt for Krampus. On occasion, it is said that the screams of a goat and the roars of a lion can be heard, that is the sound of a small skirmish between Koza and Krampus. They are pretty evenly matched so the battle if never won, the two usually part with the rising sun.
Koza has a owl looking spirit that accompanies him. The owl keeps an eye on goats through out the year and judges whether or not they have been good.
Koza possesses two tails, this is to assist him in catching little goats who try to escape him. Koza will hide, leavening one tail stretched out where the little goat can see it. Using both tails he will frighten the little goat into his jaws and take him away.
Koza also possesses a pair of ram horns. The ram horns also assists him in gathering bad little goats. Goats of a larger breed or of a higher aggression, can be very difficult to grab and often time put up a fight. So Koza will lock horns and exhaust the goat before taking him away.
Koza only does this two weeks of of the year, ending on Christmas Eve. The rest of the time he partakes in normal pearlion behavior and activities. No body is away of the gruesome task he must preform every year.
Another interesting fact about Koza is that he was not always this Christmas legend. He was once a normal pearlion, but chosen by the owl became Koza. Whenever a Koza dies the owl, ever living, chooses a new lion to carry on the task of collecting bad little goats, and rewarding good little goats. When chosen, the lion or pearlion grows a second tail and a pair of ram horns. Their fur color and pattern changes, along with their eyes, skin, and I they are a pearlion, their pearls. No two Koza has ever looked the same the pattern is different and some genes remain. Like if the lion had a bobbed tail, he would then have two. An amazing thing about the Koza, is that his genes are almost completely rewritten. If he were to find a mate and have cubs, the cubs would receive his new genes, not his old. This however does not make the cub a Koza. Only if chosen by the owl. There had never been more than one Koza alive at a time.
The current Koza was once a golden brown pearlion with sky blue pattern and pearls. Along with his eyes and skin. His name was Aztec. (Minimum of 500 words,506)
