Competition: Tundra's favorite human is a young Nordic girl named Isabelle. Tundra found her out in the cold one day, the poor thing almost frozen solid, and took her into her den without a moment's hesitation. Though a loner, Tundra still had extremely strong motherly instincts, and took care of Isabelle until she was safe and conscious. She was only about six in human years, while Tundra was just barely an adult herself, so they bonded very, very closely. Tundra became the provider, teaching her how to hunt and survive in the harsh wilds, while Isabelle could obtain and create tools and items that made their lives easier. Eventually Tundra learned that the young girl was an orphan; her father had been a guard killed in a robbery, and her mother soon after had succumbed to illness; she'd been living on the streets for the past few months, unable to find anyone who wanted to take in another mouth to feed. She'd come out all this way in hopes of making it to the next village, then maybe on to the city since she heard people there were wealthy. Someone there might have taken her in, but Tundra new that if she hadn't found the Nord when she did, Isabelle would never have seen the next sunrise.
Slowly Isabelle gained her strength back, putting on weight easily with how well Tundra hunted. By the time the spring thaw rolled around and her chance to move on came, the young girl was far too attached to her Rohk companion to leave. She ended up helping Tundra dig out her den once the ground thawed, and trained daily to learn how to scavenge, hunt, and defend herself. At the end of her first year in the wild, Isabelle was not only surviving, but also thriving. The two have long since given in to their more nomadic desires, travelling the lands and living as primal as possible. Isabelle will still go into villages to sell wares and purchase tools that are harder to make, but now that she's had a taste of the wild... There's not a chance in the world that she'll go back to "normal". [362]
