It is here that an illegal Euphorian Thoroughbred breeding operation was shut down by local authorities. All of the mares, stallions, and of age foals are in need of homes. There will also be some mares that still have their foals that need to be taken care of. Euphorian lovers from all over have come together to get homes for all of the animals. Scuffle Reasoning: Jericho was always a hard-headed stallion long before he was sold to an illegal breeding program without his former owner's knowledge. After years of abuse and neglect. Jericho became more and more impatient and angry. He was tired of the muddy pastures, crowded stalls, and just horrific living conditions. Most of all, he hated the lack of resources and food. He would fight other stallions, mares, and even foals for the last little patches of grass, clover, or even bark on trees. He would stop at nothing to get whatever food he needed. He hated being so greedy knowing every other horse needed it as bad as he did, but he knew he had to be like this if he wanted to survive. Watching the other horses around him die of starvation definitely didn't help with his temperment. He was always so frustrated and questioned why his life had to be like this, and even if he wanted to live anymore. He was so tired of hurting the horses around him, stealing the only food sources and space that he would fight another horse just to let his frustration out, but eventually that would cause even more frustration. It was an extremely viscous cycle he wished he could escape from. There was one time when a mare knew she had to find something to eat so she could produce milk for her ill and dying foal. She searched for hours. She was eventually able to stretch her neck through the electric fence to a patch of clover. This caught Jericho's attention. He hadn't eaten all day, and would give anything for a taste of grass. He crept up to the mare. When he was close enough, he kicked her in the flank, causing her to fall to the ground. Her mane got tangled into the electric fence, which began electrocuting her. Her cries and screams got the attention of the other horses, who quickly came to her rescue. One stallion, much smaller than Jericho, stood up to him. The mare ended up dying. In turn, her foal also died of starvation, as none of the other dams had enough milk to spare.

Scuffle Reasoning: Dusty was born at this illegal Euphorian breeding farm. He has been on this property for his entire life. There was a time, as a young foal, where he was happy and carefree, as a horse should be. At his mother’s side, he was bold and fearless. He loved to run around and play, and often would try to engage in play with the humans who worked at the barn. Dusty didn’t realize that what he was doing was playing for other horses, but to humans, it was dangerous. It was never his intention to strike out with his hooves at the humans, but he would just get excited, squealing and rearing up as he approached the humans.

An open hand wound up and slapped the baby across the face with all the force it could muster. The impact left a sting, and quite frankly, had spooked the young colt. He was just trying to play, he didn’t know why this had happened. In his shock, he bucked, causing the human to continue smacking him. His mother now inserted herself into the fray, ears pinned flat against her skull and teeth bared. She bit out at the human, managing to get his arm in her jaws. The man began kicking at the broodmare in an act of retaliation.

Horrified, Dusty began to bite at the man as well. The man continued to physically abuse him and his mother before leaving. The abuse did not stop after that day, however. The bitter worker would often pick on Dusty or his mother, shove them around or beat them for the fun of it. Dusty hated that he did this. He distrusted and honestly hated people because of this. He began to retaliate against the man, and eventually, the rest of the staff that attempted to interact with him. They tried separating him from his mother, but that only made things worse. Now, even with other horses, he began to kick out at them or fight, due to the extreme stress and fear the humans had caused him and the trauma of being ripped away from his mother. He could no longer protect her while he was away from her, and that was almost too much for him to bare.

Cabernet fit his name- he is as tart like red wine, his attitude just as bitter.

The moody stallion was born in harsh conditions; the barn less than fit to hold any livestock or animal. Being born into the illegal breeding operation of Fallen Oaks meant years of neglect, ignorance, and abuse. It is only logical to believe that Cabernet's spicy hot attitude has derived from multiple cases of physical harm. Multiple bruises were found on his body upon retrieving him from Fallen Oaks, as well as dried scabs and open gashes on his hindquarters and neck.

It was soon found out to be that one of the workers in this illegal ring had mistreated him since birth, removing him immediately from his mother and taking to feeding him poor quality milk. He was handled roughly, dragged from stable to pasture and hit every time he had tried to escape. Upon aging, his behavior became that of a devil, lashing out at any of the workers if they tried to even open his stable door. Authorities told the stables that accomplices have admitted to sedating him to take him out of the barn, the poor stallion waking up on the racetrack, only to be prodded to stand and carry his demons on his frail back.

After a serious injury to one of the staff, Cabernet was sent to quarantine barn, where he was to be starved and left to his own devices for the rest of the time he could hold on for. Even the slightest sound outside of this barn caused him to go into a fit of rage, kicking at the walls and digging at the door, ready to pounce. He was close to falling apart by the time rescuers had come to his aid, having to use means of transportation to even get him out of the barn.

Cabernet had to be rehabilitated for a while, in hopes that his trust in humans would grow even a small amount. He is now calm around those who work at Sonata Stables, however quick movements and stares that last too long put him on edge.
