For Quill Quest's purposes, these are the base colors. Base colors may vary--these are examples.
Base color is determined by QUILL color.

FUR color for typical hedgehogs should be in around the same "family" (example: brown base has a white or tan fur color, not grey) as the quill color, and should be lighter than the base quill color. Masking/marks on the face are always darker than the fur color.
Darker fur is considered rare.
