Prompt;; "Yeeow!" Coconut was close to exploding. His sister, Twinkie, was constantly the center of attention. She irritated him more than anyone knew. Since birth, he seemed to be inferior to her. The twoleg kits seemed to enjoy her presence more than his. As a result, all of the divine treats were given to his ungrateful sister. Coco thought she was pretentious, waltzing around as if she owned the place.

He lurked atop of a nearby piano as Twinkie laid down on her plush cat bed. The mere sight of the bed made Coco snarl. She was lounging in luxury while all he had was an old and well-loved blanket folded at the foot of a twoleg kit's bed.

With a leap from the top of the piano, Coconut jumped into the tired she-cat. The siblings tussled and rolled around, scratching each other's pelts with their claws and biting the other. During the fight, Coconut managed to cut up Twinkie’s nose and Twinkie’s claw scratched down the back of Coco’s neck. The hissing from the fighting cats was enough to draw the attention of their twolegs, who responded by grabbing both of them by the scuff and proceeding to toss them into the woods behind the house. Then there was some twolegs speech that neither of the cats could understand before the twolegs turned on his heel and stormed back inside the den, slamming the door. Coco's fur stood straight up when he got startled by the loud noise.

"This is all your fault," Coco spat at his sister. His ears were pressed flat on his head as he tried to make himself bigger. "If you didn't get all of the attention of our twolegs, we would still be in the comfort of our den." Without giving Twinkie a chance to defend herself or point out that he was the one who started the brawl, Coco tore into the forest with one goal in mind: to get as far away from his sister as possible.

Coco could feel the tears dripping down his cheek as he ran away, the sting from the wound on his neck was quick to overpower his senses.

That was over 45 moons ago. Now, Webgaze looked over the crowd of cat sharing tongues in the camp clearing and proceeded to roll onto his back to bask in the sun. The fight with his sister ruined his life. He was stranded in the woods with no one by his side. He taught himself how to hunt and fight off any loners. Smokestar came into his life only a few moons ago, but he already owes her so much. He learned the warrior code and broke out of his empty shell. He used to fight any cat on sight. He even tried to fight Smokestar when he first met her. Now, he was more reserved. He was still kept, 5 moons in a tribe couldn’t change the impact of spending over 40 moons alone.

The kits liked listening to his stories of surviving alone and the queens like having him near the kits. He would constantly tell them to respect and love their siblings. Afterall, look where being envious of his sister got him.

Webgaze was glad to call the tribe his home. He was finally happy, but oh what he wouldn’t give to see his sister again, just to exchange tongues and apologize for his behavior.
