When Rosaline was younger, she owned a beautiful, fluffy lilac-cream tortoiseshell molly with the most adorable white-tipped paws. Rosaline adored her little Sunshine, and would spend every possible spare moment playing with and petting her beloved cat. Unfortunately, Sunshine developed serious heart issues, and the vet explained to Rosaline that her cat was suffering. Rosaline couldn't bear the thought of Sunshine being in pain, and made the tough decision to put her down.

For awhile after losing Sunshine, Rosaline felt lost. What was she supposed to do without her best friend around? Eventually, another Flit suggested that Rosaline begin keeping a diary. Rosaline latched on to the idea, but in a slightly different way than expected. Determined to never forget her beloved Sunshine, Rosaline's journal contained every possible detail she could remember about Sunshine. From the slight flecks of gold in her eyes, to which of her toes were white, all of Sunshine's physical attributes were recorded. When that was completed, and Rosaline was sure that she would always be able to mentally picture Sunshine down to the tiniest detail, she began creating a record of every moment she remembered from Sunshine's life. How Rosaline and Sunshine met, how the molly earned her name, the first vase she broke in the house, the first time she snuck out of the house, and so many more milestones in Sunshine's life were all written down. Once the major events were covered, Rosaline moved on to the smaller, everyday events. To this day, Rosaline is still recording random bits of information that she recalls. Spending so much time thinking about and remembering her cat almost makes it feel as though Sunshine is still with her.
