Something's lurking in the water...

I meant to do this earlier this week, but my computer kept dying on me which is sad.
But to win this lovely bitey baby, tell me a pirate's tale. Only rule is, it must be written by you.

The Monster of Monsoon Bay
(read in your best scraggly pirate voice)

Legend tells of a great beast lurking in the treacherous waters of Monsoon Bay, an odd sort of creature with a craving for destruction. It would be a miracle to find yerself in those waters on a day of calm waters, for the creature thrives in rough seas. The beast is said to be a malicious thing, bloodthirsty and violent, however... I met the beast, and none of it is true. I was only a young lass, still lacking my sea legs as I had just set off on my maiden voyage. The captain had warned us we would be taking the trek through the Bay, I only wish me crew had been kind enough to inform me of how dangerous it really was...

As we approached the bay the dark clouds loomed threateningly ahead of us, rain began falling harder, and harder, until I could hardly see three feet in front of me face. Enormous waves boomed and crashed, tossing the boat like a leaf in a hurricane. Me crew was running around frantically securing the lines as the wind whipped about and the waves crashed onto the deck
