Prompt:
The black tabby cat had zero ideas about why he had thought it was a wise idea to sleep up in a tree branch that hung over the river water. All he knew at that moment, jarred from sleep by a loud, gradual 'cccrrrracccckkkk' and the sudden feeling of weightlessness, was that he was falling. He clsoed his eyes, preparing for the cold splash.

The cat felt his toes touch the water, but something stopped his plummet. Cracking open one eye, the black cat exaimed his feet, wodnering if he was dead. Nope, two white feet under an inch of water, with what looked like moss and.. scales underneath. Slowly moving his head to look forward, Sootwhisker found himself staring into two firey orange eyes on either side of the head of the large Aligator he had fallen onto. He froze. The two stared at eachother, waiting.

All at once, everything started to move. The aligator twisted in the water, reaching back to grab the cat on its back with its massive jaws. Sootwhisker couldn't remember what he did, but he lept up into the air and lunged forward as the aligators jaws snapped closed right where he had beens sitting. When his paws were finally on dry land, Sootwhisker realized he had been holding his breath and sighed just as he heard laughter errupt from behind him.
"Quite the nap, eh Gator?" Scorchstar said between chuckles, and the soaking wet black tom just stared at her with disdain.

Prompt:
Though his name is Spiderstep, his clanmates often call him Monsterstep jokingly. This is because when Spiderstep gets really excited, he runs so fast he's like a destructive force. It reminds his clanmates of the twoleg monsters that don't seem to stop moving for anything and destroy everything in their path. Spiderstep is even forbidden from running in camp because once he accidentally trampled the outer wall of the apprentices' den. That was the day his clanmates started calling him Monsterstep. This is a high contrast to when Spiderstep is serious and hunting, where he's incredibly quiet and steps very lightly, but that makes it all the funnier to his clanmates.

“Alice!” The large barn cat called out after spotting the molly slipping through the cornfield, her movement is unexpected but predictable.

“I thought I asked you not to call me that?” The molly calls back, weaving her way from the stalks until she’s in the clear path between the field and the barn, eyes narrowed at the barn cat.

“Don’t lie you like it, you loved that story when you were younger and it fits you so well now.” The tom purred back before jumping down and greeting the younger cat affectionately. “Alice in Wonderland, slipping down the rabbit hole into a whole new world. That’s exactly what happened to you when you found that clan out in the mountains, you slipped down a rabbit hole.”

“Banshee Alic, that’s what my name is now.”

“Yes you’ve had many names over the time I’ve known you, but Alice will always be my nickname for you no matter what you decide to call yourself or let others call you. Until the day you find your way back home. I don’t trust this clan of yours Alice, the stories about them are vague at best, tragic most of the time and terrifying at others.”

Shaking her head at the older tom Banshee touching her nose to his shoulder, whispering into his pelt. “I live in Wonderland now Alic, in Ridgeclan this Alice has no home to go back to.”

Prompt:
What had started out as an endearing term used by his family, once a word he looked forward to hearing at the end of a long day of play, had turned sour in his mind. Now the word was not something he wanted to hear, all the joy the word used to cause turned into loathing.

“Bug.” Such a short word. All because of his smaller size and likeness to multiple species of insects. His mother had said that’s why she named him Cricketkit, choosing one of her favorites bugs for her son.

“Bug.” It was said to mock him now. Make fun of him for not being as strong as the others. Look at that weak bug, they’d say.

He would hate that word now, hate what had been chosen as his name. But it was still his, and he didn’t want to throw it away. Just change it, price then wrong - show them that bugs could be just as strong and resilient as anything.

Prompt: Snakefang's nickname is "Viper" after his innate ability to insult other cats and strike out when he is challenged or threatened.

Almost as if he were spitting venom at an enemy, this tom will insult others so harshly that they tend to stay far away from him. He prefers being alone where he won't be annoyed by the mere presence of others. If someone has a problem with him, he has been known to strike out in his anger and has even managed to give a couple of scars to those who come across him.

One thing is for sure; it's best to steer clear of Viper unless you're willing to deal with the personality of a snake.
