fun fact;
the ocean supplies more than half of the oxygen in the world! The oxygen comes from phytoplankton which is tiny ocean plants. They live close to the water's surface and use sunlight and carbon dioxide to make food.

fun fact (sea or animal); Comb Jellies(above^) that live at a depth greater than 200 meters underwater are red in color. This is a defense since red can't be seen by predators at a depth greater than 200 meters.
Comb Jellies also live in some shallow waters, but will fall apart if they are taken out of the water!!

deep sea picture; mantis shrimpfun fact (sea or animal); while humans and most animals eyes have 3 colour receptors, the mantis shrimp has 12! scientists are still figuring out why and how this came to be, and how this affects the mantis shrimp's eyesight.

fun fact (sea or animal); When
Pacific Viperfish catch large prey, they most rate their hinged skull in order to swallow, especially considering their abnormal small size. They can't grow more than two feet long!
Aaa this gal is too good for me
