what I want for christmas; december itself is a double-whammy for me, since my birthday is right before christmas. hence, I find myself being asked for both birthday gifts & christmas gifts! this year though, I genuinely couldn't tell what I really really wanted, because I was greatful for what I already did have. even rhough I did eventually make a wishlist, it was the essentials; stationery, clothes, make up, stuff like that. I've realised now that I feel so much happier giving than getting - it's cliche, I know, but the feeling of seeing someone really appreciate a gift you thoughtfully picked out for them is so very worth it.

what I want for christmas: i'm a boring adult, so getting a new job i actually think i'd enjoy so i can stop being miserable at work every day, and getting to see my babe sometime next year would also be a (belated) christmas present for me. apart from that, i just told people to get me the usual materialistic gift I tend to go for - gift cards, make-up, perfume, accessories like jewellery, books, treats & toys for my dog... the usual, really. i'd much rather get the two things i mentioned earlier, of course, but i don't exactly have control over that, haha.
