"Brachiosaurus. Large herbivores part of the sauropod family. This animal is docile and friendly. They
are very herd oriented and has taken a liking to this mare. I hope you have a large stable!"

I thought it was only fitting that this gal be the first adopt. Tell me about your first encounter with them
and a Brachiosaurus fact.

Fact:The name Brachiosaurus comes from Greek words meaning ‘arm’ and ‘lizard’. The name refers to the interesting nature of Brachiosaurus legs which were longer at the front than the back.

Fact: "Brachiosaurus was first found in the Grand River Valley, in western Colorado, USA, in 1900. This incomplete skeleton was described by paleontologist Elmer S. Riggs, who named Brachiosaurus in 1903. In 1909, Werner Janensch found many Brachiosaurus fossils in Tanzania, Africa. Many Brachiosaurus fossils have been found, in North America and Africa." - Enchanted Learning
First Encounter: It was the quiet, steady stomp that first caught my attention. Just on the edge of hearing, the beats running through the ground, almost feeling them as much as hearing them, were intriguing. I started walking towards the sound, wondering whether someone was digging into the ground, or perhaps some sort of earthmoving equipment was being used. I certainly didn't expect to see what I did.

There was a horse, fair enough, maybe a little unusual with some sort of round lump on her head, almost like a growth, but what stood next to her, calmly munching on some leaves as if nothing was unusual, was a dinosaur! A dinosaur!

For a moment, I stopped and rubbed my eyes, but then both animals noticed me and the mare whinnied, a sound of concern and nervousness, moving slightly on her hooves. She looked at her friend, for indeed it was clear that the two were friends, and the brachiosaurus gently bumped it's head on her side, reassuring, I suppose.

The mare seemed to instantly calm, and though it didn't seem quite right to approach, I couldn't stop myself. Step by step, the brach moved a little closer as I shuffled forward, an invisible force dragging me- total curiosity. Was the dinosaur as rough as it looked?

A hand reached out, a neck stretched forward, and a mare gave a quiet whinny, gentle and reassuring. As soon as the contact was made, all three were bound by some common destiny, and they were never again parted.

First Encounter: (WIP) I felt the earth tremble before I even saw her approaching...
Fact: "Unlike other sauropods, Brachiosaurus appears to have been slightly sprawled at the shoulder joint, and the ribcage was unusually deep." With a wide chest and a big ribcage, I imagine the Brachi's must have been really loud!

First Encounter:
I was walking around the dense forest with nothing, but a pack full of candy bars, granola bars, and binoculars. I was on the hunt for some dinosaur sights. I was told a story about a great long necked creature that stalked the jungle and drank from the large ponds. I found some foot tracks, but they looked more elephant like to me.

I had been walking around for what felt like hours when I heard the first loud bray. It sounded like a french horn and rumbled through my body. Only an animal larger than life could have created that sound! I ran in the direction I had heard the creature. The vast jungle was miles and miles wide and miles upon miles long. I hoped the sound was not too far away and that I could find the maker of this wonderful music.

I trudged along in the mud and the muck in hopes of finding the large creature. I could hear loud breathing in front of me. That was when some clear sticky liquid hit my shoulder. More of it landed on top of my savannah hat. I looked up to see what looked like a large snake chopping on the vegetation of the trees. I inwardly screamed in excitement: a Brachiosaurus. Then, I heard the melodious music once more. As I looked around, a lot of the tree trunks, or so I had thought, were the legs of large creatures. I wiped away the slobber and welcomed the music my songbirds made while they talked and enjoyed their veggie dinners.

Fact:
Estimates of Brachiosaurus’s weight range between 30 and 60 metric tons (33 and 66 short tons). That's about 60 cars!

Unfortunately this version of Rajarshi Drafts closed its doors some time ago.
The admin team decided to start over completely with new lines, therefore halting all current events, adopts and breedings that had been pending on these lines.

    With those still left unjudged, we asked that the creating artist use their discretion on those that were posted when they had the time, but this was for any that were already submitted before Rajarshi Drafts closed the original lines and moved onto the current version. Chem is working behind the scenes as time permits, as things did fall quiet, so keep an eye out for things to reopen again. c;

For those who are waiting on this, I apologize myself for the delay!
I had forgotten, and it has been so so long, to jump back through everything to be sure. xc
Completely my bad! I'll go through this weekend and have things all judged for everyone!

Ah, I totally forgot about this. Since my post was before the changeover, would I be permitted to finish my entry? There was no end date set at the time, but i would love a chance to finish it up!
