I don’t think you’ve failed in your Roan!
You’ve got the basics for it down, just maybe went a little overboard.
Roan most usually leaves the face and the lower legs dark and uneffected, like this for a good reference example. c:

I normally think I fail since in my eyes it looks weird but then it could just be me.
