I looked down from the balcony into the giant lobby like room. The bright machines contrasting against the bright light up machine made for conning gullible people into spending all of their money. I shook my head and began to make my way down the stairs, bringing the tray strapped to my back down with me. Stepping onto the main floor I began making my way towards the men and women who had asked for the drinks balancing on my tray. Other Kiuiis walking around bring drinks with them. I made my way around the place allowing everyone to the drinks that belong to them. My last “customer” was play poker at
King and Court’s table. As I walked over I noticed one of our patrons yelling at King and Court, saying they were scammed. King continued to deal the cards while Court tried to talk it out with the woman. The other customers around us were starting to get irritated. I gave the drink to my customer and walked over to the upset woman. Both King and Court looked relieved to have her off of their shoulders and be able to focus back onto the game.
“What seems to be the matter ma’am?” I asked politely. She began telling me that the casino had stole thousands of dollars from her.
I convinced her to follow me to the back so that she could discuss the issue with the Casino’s owner and the Master of all the Kiuiis that worked here. Once at the Master’s office I shouldered the door open.
“Hello Dapper,” He smiled gently at us. “What seems to be the matter?”
Before I could get any words the lady decided she was going to tell him her problems with our establishment. The owner nodded his head as she talked, showing that he was listening and dismissed me from the room. As I left I heard master speak to the woman.
“We didn’t force you to spend money, so why is it you are blaming our establishment,” I spoke calmly to her. “Why can’t humans ever take blame for their own mistakes?”
Suddenly a bright flash seeped through the bottom of the door. I nodded my head, master had taken care of her, and began to make my way back to the main room.
