❝What is a snowy orb dragon?❞ wrote:Snowy orb dragons ! These happy creatures are like giant dogs, perfect for families that can afford large open spaces for them. They risk extinction because of invasive species seriously injuring their populations, and the public has been urged to help out with research and to help house these creatures so they don't disappear. Will you join the efforts to protect and care for these fluffy dragons of the snow?

the oekaki did NOT like this kid, lemme tell you. to celebrate this lovely's existence, i'm making a bit of a bigger contest!
for this kid, design them a single accessory! it needs to be small. why? because i'm going to add the accessory onto the ref! there has to be a visual, whether you draw it, you have it commissioned (with credit !!), or it's a stock photo. the only rules is that it can't be a halo or anything that would break species rules, and it also can't be a rose because i can't draw those well! you also need to add an explanation of why the accessory is important (min 50 words, max 300).

name|| Lyra
gender + pronouns|| Female, she/her
accessory|| It should be attached to the end of this post.
explanation|| Lyra was wandering around her mountain home one day, when she heard the sad meows of a kitten. Worried that the little creature might freeze, she immediately began searching for it. She followed the sound and found a young, orphaned, orange-and-white kitten shivering in the snow. Lyra approached the kitten, and curled around it to keep it warm. The little kitten clung to Lyra's front left leg, and buried his face in her fur. Since his family was no where to be found, Lyra decided to protect and raise the kitten. When calling him "Kitten" and "Little One" got old, she gave him his name: Mars. While travelling with Lyra, Mars prefers to cling to her front left leg, just as he did when they first met. Luckily, as he's grown, he's remained relatively small, so his weight doesn't slow Lyra's walking or running very much.
((Note: Lyra and Mars are able to communicate now, but Mars was too young to speak when they originally met.))
Edit - To clarify, the accessory is just the cat clinging to the giraffe, not the giraffe itself.
