Foxifae #34

About Foxifae
Foxifae are fox-sized mammals that have been recently discovered in many different environments around the globe. Usually shortened to “foxi,” the furry marsupials typically are found to keep an item in their pouch that has special meaning and value to them. While there is a common and ‘default’ breed of foxi, several different subtypes with traits adapted to their specific environments have been observed and more are being discovered all the time! They produce a fairy-dust of sorts that allows for brief flight and levitation despite their wing stubs not being fully developed. They are social animals that exhibit very human-like emotions, and even more surprisingly, perform selfless and heartfelt acts of kindness for and to support not only their fellow foxi, but other animals and even humans as well. They thrive off the affection and care of each other and it seems that family is by no way limited to blood in their communities. In fact, it seems that they've even began accepting complete outsiders into their communities, allowing for unprecedented opportunities for research of these fascinating creatures. Will you join us in our research of this amazing community?

First come, first serve!
This foxi is strictly for someone with one foxifae or less.

I want to know how this foxi got the battery powered tea-lights in their pouch. It can be whatever you want it to be, and as dramatic or as simple as you'd like. Just needs to be at least 250 words!

The story;

He got them as a gift from an old friend. 'Their antique!' his friend claimed in the nope, but they look rather new. oh well. He loves them all the same, as he had many good memories of visiting his friend, lighting candles when they stayed up late at night and pretending to live 'in the dark ages' or any other age priority to electricity. It amuses him to see the fake candles as it reminds them of their fake play. He'd usually be some aristocrat and his friend a poor person and both were stranded on a desert island, or in a dungeon, or on the moon- why the moon? He's not sure. It sounded cool then. Regardless, he'd often seen electric candles at his friends house and they'd use them in place of real ones whenever they ran out of real ones! He figures that's why, anyways.

Later his friend would tell him these were not the originals in the house- those had been discarded. Somehow, he's not sure how, but he found these at an antique store. They weren't actually for sale but the owner didn't really want them so he gave them up. 'and besides, I never have money.' he wrote. 'i couldn't afford any antiques even if I wanted them!'

Now, Deandre looks at them whenever he wants to remember simpler times. He's afraid he'll loose them considering his life on the run (that's another story), but so far he's been pretty Lucky! They're still here all safe and sound.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

- John 13:34-35
