Personality;

Porter is a rather optimistic young Nagaline. He tries to look at the bigger picture and use past mistakes to move towards the future. He spends most of his time around people, trying to bring his good energy with him wherever he goes. His mission is to make those around him smile. Even when the bad vibes get him down Porter looks at all the good things he's done for others and picks himself back up.

Job and Hobbies;

Porter's job is a DJ for parties and events. He knows it isn't the big leagues but it's a step in the door. He loves what he does. Porter usually mixes popular songs with ones that people have never even heard of. When he isn't working gigs, Porter can be found relaxing at home or hanging out with his buddies. At home, Porter gets to work on composing his own songs and music for the day he makes it to where he wants to be. When he isn't doing that, Porter paints. If it's been a particularly stressful day, or he's suffering from musicians block, Porter will pick up a brush to wash those away.

Outfit and Accessories;

Porter's outfit can be described as wild yet comfortable. He always wears a pair of skinny jeans regardless of what type of weather it is. However it's porter's shirt, or should I say hoodie, that draws the most attention. It's decorated with tons of space patterns ranging in colors from blues to pinks and purples. It almost matches Porter's own skin itself. It's not the fact that it matches his own unique skin that makes this hoodie so special. It's the sentimental reason behind it. Porter won the hoodie at a concert. His first concert in fact. A stagehand was throwing them into the crowd while the band was playing on stage. Porter was lucky enough to grab one. In terms of accessories, there is only one that Porter cannot live without. His headphones. They fit perfectly over his ears and the bass quality is his favorite thing about them. The white coloring is good as well for almost anything that Porter can possibly pull out of his closet (when it isn't his hoodie that is).

Fun Facts/Headcannons;

Porter's white eyes are contacts! His natural eye color is brown. He puts the white ones in whenever he has a big party or just wants to look a little bit cooler for the day
He dyed his hair on an impulse. He thought it suited him better. He was going to go with purple instead of pink but found that the lighter pink gave his hair a fluffier look to it.
His favorite types of music are pop and electronic dance music but he'll listen to pretty much anything you throw at him.
Porter loves having very expensive acrylic markers for whenever he's painting. He finds it soothing to layer his colors. Even if it means spending a little bit more of his cash from the gigs.
He loves it when friends play with his hair. It's very relaxing having a good friend attempt to braid or style his hair.

What the real Porter means to me;

For this forum I took inspiration from one of my favorite music artists of all time, Porter Robinson. I wanted to give this nagaline his name because I thought that it fit very well with the vibes that the real Porter is known for. His music has saved my life on many an occasion. There have been days where I just felt very helpless and all I'd have to do is turn on a song or two and suddenly it felt like I could make it. Even though Porter can no longer create the vibes that I built this personality on, I still feel like this Porter would relate to them. Porter Robinson has and probably always will be one of my favorite artists of all time.

Casual outfit;
a light denim jacket with the collar flipped up.
he wears things because they look cool to him. he wasn't given them or had any special connection with them. he just wants to be cool. and hed love others to see how cool he is. therefore he does everything in his power to make they really see just how awesome he really is. he is working on collecting patches for his jacket but he doesn't have very many yet. or a way to attach them. but he has a few fruits and neon patches that hed love to get put on at some point. he does have one thing that he has an attachment to, however. a golden heart locket, it was his sisters but when she moved away she gave it to him to remember her by. he misses her immensely and keeps it with him always. even when hes not wearing it on his neck he will coil it around his wrist into a sort of chain bracelet.

First job;
his first job had him in a pale blue button up shirt which he always rolled the sleaves up on. there was also a required hat so he wore a matching traditionally patterned bandana to cover his hair, which also folded back his ears.

Second job;
for his second job its much more casual, as long as hes wearing a shirt that doesnt have a symbol on it he could do what he wanted. he had to keep his necklace tucked in and his bandana on but for the most part he just wore all black, with a full black oversided t-shirt.

personality;
hes a stubborn show off, he likes to dress bright and act out allot to get attention. hes desperate for all the attention he can get his paws on and has been known to make conversations all about himself at random. he gets jealous of others allot and has been tempted to steal things or get back at them somehow. usually threw pranks or other nonsense. he does, however, have a soft side for ladies. not in a weird way but, he tends to attach them to his little sister. as if they're the same person sometimes. he will be polite and almost a real gentleman around a lady and tries to hide his mess ups or panic some and fuss with his hair when it's already too late to do so shes already right there. some of his favorite hobbies are star charting, his many nights spent counting cars with his sister he found his eyes drawn more up and into the stars. they were hard to see against the city lights but it made him curious enough to look into astronomy more.

backstory;
he lived most of his life in the city with his baby sister. they are ten years apart in age and he cares for her like she's his own daughter sometimes. they do have rivalries like all siblings do and when she gets mad she makes sure he hears about it. the two of them grew up near a highway and would often play a game where they counted cars of certain colors. it got so important at times that when they had to go to bed they had a camera watching the cars for them and they would tally the cars from the whole night before the next morning. they actually shared a bedroom together with there room separated down the middle. each had half the window and half the closet, and this usually caused issues for them as one would expect with someones something going missing, its obviously the others fault. once they were old enough he got a job at an ice cream stand down the street and would ride his bike there every morning after taking his sister to the bus stop. he worked there for a long time and enjoyed it allot especially when his sister or friends came over after school or work just to see him. he often snuck out a cup of chocolate chips to give to his sister after work and did inevitably get caught and in trouble for it. after his stealing habits were found out at work he ended up switching his job to another a bit farther away at a deli. it wasn't as fun as ice cream but it paid well at least. this was about when his sister was old enough to work as well and he was surprised to find out that she ended up being his replacement at the ice cream stand. he was, of course, jealous, but also kind of happy for her, and definitely excited to still have a chance to sneak out food, though she wasn't one to let him get away with it as easily as he had hoped. they continued this for a few years before his sister was old enough to go back to school, she decided to stay at college while she was attending and had to move away. it was both tearful and happy between the two of them, upset that hed see her allot less and happy for her at the same time, getting an opportunity that he didn't take when he was her age. they now have become pen palls during the school month and mail each other once a week each, its one of his favorite past times, even though he sucks at writeing.
