Well, as a youngling Shurika always saw humans playing this funny game called go fish. He always would peek in when his parents weren't looking and would try to figure out why they played it, and how. As the years went on he came absolutely in love with this odd game, until one day he stumbled across a stray card. An king of diamonds to be exact, and it automatically became his pride and joy. He would constantly take it around, making sure that it was treated well and protecting it. Soon Shurika Diamond became his nickname, so to live up to it he painted a diamond over his eye. To show his dedication to the game he never understood.
