She was named due to Emberpaw mistaking her tail for a chipmunk while hunting, and the clan later commenting she looked like one. It was so she elected to change her name from Mazipan, as she had been a loner kept by kittypets once, and change it to Chipmunknose. The nose part is due to her excellent tracking skills. Before she joined she helped with a few hunting parties to prove her worth.

Name Reason: One would assume that Turtlefur's name stems from her generally shy nature, as the she-cat is soft spoken and hesitant to speak up during most conversations. It is rare that the she-cat offers up ideas or asks to lead a patrol, and unless she feels a close bond towards another cat, she will hardly talk to them. However, Turtlefur's name actually comes from her exceptional fighting abilities, with outstanding defensive strategies that can make a cat wonder if she has an invisible shell around her, protecting her from danger like a turtle would use.

The prefix tiger was given to her at birth because of the black striping of her long coat. Her parents also hoped that she would live up to the fierceness of it, but that never came.

The suffix shell has a double meaning. Not only does the cream of her coat remind many of the beautiful shells found on a beach. But it also means that she is as fragile as one. While she may seem hard on the outside like a shell might she is actually quite fragile.

Prompt: The prefix Adder comes from the scar on her face. While an apprentice, a snake(not exactly an adder) attacked her and latched onto her muzzle with it's two fangs, and whenever Adder jerked away, the two fangs scraped her muzzle, leaving the two scars on her face today.

Her suffix is technically "nose", due to the placement of the scar on her face, being so close to her nose. However, Adder took offense to this whenever this was to be her warrior name, and thought that it was a direct attack on something she was self conscious about, so Adder has opted to not go by her suffix, and usually gets annoyed whenever someone calls her Addernose.

In her original clan, Sharkheart was known as Strikepaw. She was a fierce fighter, quick to strike and last to ask questions. It was because of her fierce reputation that she excelled to top of her apprentice group, and was even considered to be boosted to her warriors ceremony. In a clan of fierce felines, who are all fighting for the upperhand in the clan’s hierarchy, it’s no wonder someone bigger and stronger than she would try rid the clan of her before she came to her true power within the ranks. She was quietly set up as the fall back for a murder most heinous, and one of the few reprimand able by the clan: the murder of a defenseless kit.
It’s no surprise that Strikepaw tried to fight the ruling as best she could, even knocking a few of her full warriors out before being stopped by the clan leader himself. The judgement was given without council or jury; she was to be tossed into The Mouth. It was a death sentence, and as she stepped out into the crumbling cliff face overlooking the gulf of sharks that waited hungrily below- having been fed a diet of chum the day prior- she was given her final ceremony. Both as a mournful show for the warrior they were going to loose, and as a sign of recognition of her power before star clan. They dubbed her Sharkheart. Shark- for the horror she was soon to undergo, and -heart for the courage and determination she had held close for all her life.
She never once cried or showed fear that her clan mates would have eaten up. Even as she fell to her sure end, she held her poise.

She used to be a circus cat. The man who ran the place named her Beaver for her fierce temper and dangerous fangs, as she would always snap at him whenever he came by. (In truth, she secretly liked him. But there was no way he'd ever know that).

But then the circus was transferred to a new owner, a man who hated the stray cats who lived in his circus. He chased them out, and she and several other cats ran for their lives until they came to FrontierClan and Wildstar took them in. When asked to pick a warrior name, she chose -fang. Somewhere, deep down, she remembered the short, cheerful human who had named her for that very reason. And she decided she wanted to remember him for the rest of her life, for the kindness he had shown her.
