fae name: Malchanceux
fae gender: Mare
horn?: Malchanceux doesn't have a particularly heroic tale to go along with her snapped horn, though many may assume otherwise. No, she simply was an unlucky foal, as her unfortunate name clearly states. Mal had always been quite the rowdy filly, and one day whilst roughhousing with a fellow foal from a neighboring band, she stumbled and managed to slam her still-growing horn into the stone-filled hillside they were playing upon, causing the still weak and easily-manipulated horn to simply snap off on impact. Because she was so young at the time, she doesn't recall the event, but her mother has told her many times of her misfortune.

horn: This colt was just a few weeks old when a group of poachers found his small herd. Amazed at what they’d foun they attacked the small herd of five. His mother alerted the herd when they sensed the threat but it was too late. Each member of the herd was taken down and poached, except for the little red bay colt who got away but not unscathed. In the frenzy the colt had missed a deadly head shot but suffered the loss of his horn that was nothing but a stub at the time. His horn had just been growing but it never recovered from the bullet nearly grazing his skull. By the time he aged to an adult the horn grew half way. Forever broken.
