koicats are a newly discovered aquatic species. when the first few were found in
the western region of the pacific ocean, they were described as short and shy,
preferring to ignore humans and other species if possible. as time went on, they
were domesticated into the friendly, soft-looking koicats we know and love today !

the babies start off round and small, about the size of a tablespoon. scientists
have not yet determined an average lifespan, but they can grow up to two feet
long. the longer the koicat, the more dominant and and territory they will have.
there is practically no difference between the male and female koicats.

this koicat seems to love to collect pebbles !

Momo likes to arrange all the pebbles in patterns. He decorates a different pattern in the sand every week, since he'll have collected new pebbles over the week. He has made spirals, self-portraits, sometimes even making 3D shapes like pyramids.
