As said in our breeding, okahui and I have decided to put the third kit of our nursery batch UFA.
I will be hosting it on this thread but we both will be judging it. Please read this post thoroughly.

This will be a writing and art based competition with no limits on who can enter.
You will be allowed up to 600 words MAXIMUM [300 min.] and 2 pieces [no min.]!
Breaking these rules WILL RESULT in your entry NOT BEING JUDGED. No excuses.

PROMPT: This kit is constantly complimented on their beautiful colors and markings.
How do they deal with this type of attention? Do they like it, hate it, wish it would
go away, or even desire more? Does it affect their habits and life goals? Do they feel
pressured to look, talk, or act a certain way?

You can use any of those guiding questions to formulate your response. Comics are not
allowed unless they are two panels ONLY and you do not use any other art. Please PM
one of us if you have any questions! Below is a skeleton form.

EDIT: I forgot to mention there will be NO EXTRAS and including those will also
result in your form not being counted. Prettying-up/theme songs are fine but are
not required. Short gifs [ie: blinking, nodding, etc] are fine and take up one art
slot each so chose wisely! I got messages on both so I figured I should edit it in.

Have you ever been so different, that you changed yourself completely just for others to be happy. For them to notice you, and like you for the changed person, instead of yourself?
I can tell you for a matter of fact that it's a mistake. Life is meant to be lived freely. You're supposed to enjoy life to fullest, and love being you. That means love being yourself. I never thought of it that way, however.

I have always been told about how beautiful I was. That I was stunning, from my hair which curls perfectly at the right parts, my long tail which resembled a mermaid, and my fuchsia eyes that could give anyone butterflies. Day after day, compliment after compliment. Of course, that was when I spoke. I always gave a rather polite thank you, but I knew that it was only the mask of me speaking. I was always rather shy, not wanting to get into trouble, nor cause trouble! I was always completely anthropophobic around others. I changed myself however. 'Why?' you may ask me. Well, I did it for the sake of being polite. I knew beauty was everything nowadays, but it was the only reason they actually tolerated me. The only reason they 'liked ' me.
Deep down, I always wished that I wasn't someone hiding their true self. I wished people would actually like me! My lacking self-confidence got the best of me however. It made me act unlike myself. I just gave up caring about who I was, all for a kit who was 'perfect'. They had no flaws, and everyone loved them. It was the 'someone' everyone wanted to be, the someone everybody dreamed of being! I was a fraud, a kit with no friends and nobody knew.
Every night I spent as 'myself' I asked to myself, "Why?", or "Who am I, really?" . Well, when you act fake for so long, you get so sick of yourself you no longer care about who you are. I cut off connections with pretty much anyone who tried to speak to me. I began to stop speaking completely, only answering with a nod, or a shake of the head. I learned sign language, and that's how I communicated, if I did.
So that was my story. My advice? Keep loving yourself for who you are, not the mask you hide behind.
