In the world Cass lives in, magic is a fairly common thing...so, yes! Well, at least in an enchantment and material sense. She's never witnessed someone with naturally infused magic in their veins - rather, she's only seen magic used and practiced through the use of objects and special items.
She actually owns a charm herself! It was passed down to her by her mother - a charm kept in the family for generations. However, Cass would never actually use it. She wears it on a chain around her neck, though - sort of to honor her lineage (despite honestly not knowing too much about the charm).
She does know that the charm is a blood infusion charm - one that requires blood to work. She doesn't like the concept very much, but she understands the history behind charms of that sort, and respects its connection to her family. She doesn't know what it does exactly, though.
So, Cass does believe in magical elements!

But, as she was driving her sibling to their late night date with their girlfriend Cirrus.....a large and monstrous orange Sima with bright red eyes scared her out of her fur. Poor Korian ; the masquerade just wanted to ask her the location of the nearest McDonalds.

Now she certainly believes in magic. Her sibling still struggles to convince her that not all magic is bad. She still isn't hearing it.

Everyone can shapeshift to some degree (most have only three forms: one feral, one anthro, and one human) and most species have the ability to use magic. For instance, unicorns and pegasi are especially known to use light, healing, and air magic while dragons are known for elemental magics. Simas, of course, are extremely varied in their magic, the type of which is controlled by their jewel color, although some have learned to make potions or make use of enchanted items. However, she wonders how magic is possible and wants to know more beyond the usual handwave of "because this is the way things are." One day, she wants to try and understand what magic is and how it works, including how it's passed down in certain species, generation from generation.
