Heya! Very excited and honored to present the second legendary to you all ;v; / Had multiple technical difficulties so I'm posting this in class on my phone (good thing my teacher doesn't seem to care too much- also I won't be free around noon)

I got greenlighted to do something spoopy so I went an eDgY route-- wanted to do something that reminded me of voodoo lore~

The legendary's also showcasing a variant of the multiple eyes- instead of being stacked, they're clustered like a triad :D



No snake || No items

The theme is corruption and possession! You're welcome to use them in your form but it's not required if you want to go a different route for the character.

There is one minimum requirement for your form to count!

Username, name, and sex/gender is a given, but you also have to have an art piece of that snake at least one time. I don't really care what format it's in- traditional, doodle, digital, whatever- the snake just has to show up at least once visually. I'm not looking for anything big so you can draw/scribble it yourself or have someone else do it. That's the only requirement :0c It's a really big dragon snake for those of you who want a visual reference.

Other than that, there are no limits to art or writing<3 I couldn't think of anything interesting for the comp in time whoops

Some things to note:

- I personally don't have an issue with off-site forms or off-site components to your form, but please keep in mind that you have the extra burden of time-stamping any edits on your form. Not doing so can and will hurt your chances. Keeping it on CS removes this issue, but EACH website page, google doc, or anything else must have a visible time stamp if an automated one (like on CS) isn't provided.

-I'll personally take the time to screenshot/save any webpages once the competition ends to affirm that nothing's been added since the end date. Any discrepancies between the content of the screenshot/saved webpage once I start judging will disqualify you.

-Please remain cordial. So like, no guilt trips, passive aggressiveness to other contestants/winners, etc.

-Please keep everything pg/pg-13 ;v;

-Also, please don't pm me any parts of your form! Everything has to be public. I will most likely lose it because my pm box is a nightmare.

-Prettying up is encouraged if you wanna do it, but not required! I'm aware that stuff takes alotta extra time so it will be considered alongside content<3

-Quality over quantity! Brevity is the wit of the soul, but that also means to not do just the bare minimum.

I didn't have time to say this when I posted the adopt originally, but I thought it might be good to share stuff that I enjoy seeing in forms. None of it is specific about content because I don't want to restrict anyone or try and lead toward a specific idea in the tryout forms, but these suggestions focus more on structure and refinement and help me go through your character form easier! This way, I'll have a better time grasping the feel of your character form without becoming confused or missing key details you decide to implement.

Blocks of Text

Please try to avoid making any stories or personalities or any large sections of information just huge blocks of text! I will admit that my eyes tend to skip over lines when there's a huge information overload.

A good tip is to make a new paragraph (while skipping a line please-- just going to the next line is sometimes still too cluttered!) after each new idea/scene/train of thought, AND make new paragraphs each time two or more characters switch off when speaking in a dialogue. An example of this:

"Let's go to the park, Morgan!" Buster explained. "Sure, it'll be a blast! Hopefully, we'll be able to meet up with Sharon later on," Morgan replied.

--The biggest, glaring problem about segment is that, if the phrase "Morgan replied" was absent from the segment, I would think that Buster had said both of these phrases.

"Let's go to the park, Morgan!" Buster explained.

"Sure, it'll be a blast! Hopefully, we'll be able to meet up with Sharon later on," Morgan replied.

--- Much better! Even if the phrase "Morgan replied" was cut out, I'd still be able to infer that it was Morgan speaking instead of Buster.

Grammar and Spell Check

Oh god this is a big pet peeve of mine-- I'm not a literature teacher in any sense so I most likely won't catch more advanced grammar and structural mistakes (or even care about them) but please use spell-check and/or even get another set of eyes to look over your stories. A misspelled word or a misplaced modifier can completely change the meaning of a sentence and confuse me in the long run.

Also-- They're, There, and Their, people (and any other homophones/heterographs); they don't mean the same thing hgnn ;v;

Art

Art is really subjective so there's not really much to say here? I mean, I love seeing emotion shown, whether it be craziness,
happiness, sadness, rage, or anything else. Dynamic poses are also cool. ;0; Putting a subject in a setting like a landscape is informative, but sometimes if I can't notice any emotion on their face besides neutrality there's not much I can garner from the piece besides location or events.

Please don't let that limit you, however! Body language is huge-- I don't even have to see the face of a character if their body language speaks to their emotion.

Quality over Quanitity

This phrase can be kinda vague in the correct settings, especially in impress-me's, so I'll just say this right now-- adding extraneous information doesn't add much to your form unless you connect it to their character in a tangible way! For example, lists of likes and dislikes is fine, but it doesn't really tell me anything major about the character unless you decide to hint at it or reference it in another part of your form.

For instance, you can state that your character really likes painting, but I'll most likely write it off as a small detail unless you include something like a story about them painting or doing something with paint. Ya gotta let things flow peeps~

The Cicada Queen

Before common era there was a glorious viscet colony.Though there were many different types of clans and villages,none were as mystical as the insect clan that ruled the northern forest region.They were ruled by a Giant monarch butterfly like visit.
While she was massive in size her wings were a beauty to withhold alone it wasn't the only thing that made her a valuable leader.Like many of her people she had a deep personal connection to the fellow insects in the forest but none could ever guess that she could take form of these creatures.From the beautiful to the ugly,the queen did as she must to keep her people safe.

And they were for a while,they lived in prosperity.That was until a large kingdom started to delve in her land.A empire.Forced to scatter her people she stayed in the forest,clutching the last of the unwilling or unable viscets in her sanctuary.When they came for her she transformed into the monster they so portrayed against her.

But alaast the empire had defeated her and she was forced to retreat into the forest. Unable to reach her people and to find help she morphs into a sputtering monster of anger and sadness,attacking any newcomers that come her way.Legend says she still lives nestle into the forest.Others say she lives by eating the last of her followers like the monster she is

The land before her was a torn mess.The remembrance of her people scattering around like desperate little ants trying to avoid getting crushed.It sure felt like they were all about to be crushed.Queen Cicada knew they were coming for her and her alone.She was what you called a shifter of many forms,a monster.Her glorious monarch wings she like to rest her form on shifted from a brilliant orange to a light grey,the wings of her people.

She pet the shivering mass on her lap,his eye's clenched shut in a mixture of pain and bitter fear.She lightly ran a motherly hand down the nape of the ill viscets neck."everything will be okay" she lied through soft words.He shifted in his brown blanket,his wings were bent and were twitching violently every so often.When she had ordered her village to clear out she had found one more lone soul.One very sick soul.They didn't want to care for him.Didn't want to worry for the poor thing.For shame.

Her eye's snapped up when the sound of trumpets filled her ears sour-fully like dead noise.She lifted up from her nest,the sick one finally opening his eyes after all this time.He never said a word but his eyes were sad,dim.He feared for his queen.She sighed and rested a paw on his head,gently kissing the top of his head."I will do my best,today I'll be your warrior" she smiled a toothy grin at




Conner averted the young child’s eye’s away from the scene they were oh so desperate to see.There was a bare skeleton lying in the middle of the road,bleached white by the sun like it had been there for days but it had only seen the light of day right now.”come on Connor let go I wanna see the thing” the tiny creature squeaked out in desperation,tugging and yanking Connor's hand to break free.Connor shook his head slightly and picked up his strange little sibling.They gasped lightly at the new found height.
”there is bugs everywhere Connor,icky” they stuck out the tongue to empathize the grossness of the situation.”yeah,icky..really icky..” he paused a little bit and continued his heavy up the hill to mama’s house.”you know what’s really icky” the older sibling said softly,nestled her cheek into the pixie child's face.”your face” they said behind snickering paws.Connor laughed and nodded there head in agreement.”yes,but it’s something far worse” his tone got deep as he stopped in the middle of the gravelly path.”what is it bubba” Connor set them down on the ground,sticking up a finger for them to wait.They rummaged through there bag for a second and pulled out a jar.
Inside the jar was a large cockroach like bug buzzing about the clear container.Autumn brought there paw’s to there face,looking way.”no get it away” they hissed out clumsily. Connor snickered a little bit and put away the glass container in his bag.”aw,but Autumn you look like a bug,buggy wings buggy face”he teased out. Connor scooped the pouting child once again.”I’m not a bug Connor,you're a dirty bug” they are bundled with a pout.Connor rolled her eyes lightly and pushed open the diner door’s that also doubled served as their home.Inside it was pretty cozy,the autumn morning lit up the room in soft hues of comfortable sunlight.Connor set down the young tyke and was immediately greeted by the short mom shoving the warm plate of bagels in his arm’s.
“You're late,I had to do this all by myself” she stated with a everextrated hand gesture.Connor really did have to stifle a laugh this time.The diner was never really as busy as she says.At most Mr Johnson would want a extra sugar cube in his coffee but that was the extent of the hustle and bustle.He grabbed a fresh bagel off the platter and stuffed it in his muzzle with a mischievous grin,walking away with hi steal.The mom immediately grabbed the back of his bag and yanked him back.”stop eating the product connor” she scolded him out,tugging the poor boy by his ear.”alright alright ear ear” he whined out softly as his mother pinched his delicate ear in between her fingers.She finally let go of the sore ear and poked his nose.”don’t do it again”
Connor rolled his eyes and set down a bagel for Mr Johnson who silently drank his coffee.”hey mom? Did you see what happened in town” he said,setting down another meal for another patron.Shibia looked over the counter,her red glasses placed on her snout.”I heard that there was a infestation of dirty roaches.” she yelled over the counter.Connor set the bagels down next to where his mama was.”I think someone got murdered” that got her attention.”what,no no” she took off the glasses and set them in her apron.”that couldn’t happen”
Connor came behind the counter and grabbed a apron.”they said it was a murder but I don’t know who it is”
Shibia was looking off into space,holding onto her apron tightly with worry.Connor laughed nervously with his mother odd look.”Do you know who it is?” Connor put a hand on the old woman's back,gently rubbing up and down.She shook her head.”I feel like I'm missing something Connor”
Connor never understood his superstitious mother.He sat on the counter and grabbed another bagel and chomped down on it,watching his mother face contort in confusion.

Chimere is a Voodoo priest of dreams, nightmares and visions. While claiming to be an ordinary man, some say he is god or demon in disguise. Others say his ways just altered his appearance. Regardless of what you believe, though, Chimere is not to be crossed. His knowledge in hexes makes him a dangerous adversary. While he would never harm someone physically, he has the ability to drive one man with delusions, hallucinations, sleep paralysis, and nightmares. While normally peaceful in nature, those who do not pay for his services are often his victims. Once payment is received, though, the hex is lifted. However, whatever psychological damage that was done by it would be irreversible.
