prompt; how does this kit keep them self comfortable and safe?

by latching onto the closest object. including people. and strangers, which on its own is rather unsafe and inadvisable. whenever he gets surprised or fearful, he literally leaps and bounds faster and further than a frolicking lamb or rabbit, instantaneously hugging a pillar or the next kalon. whenever he gets excited, he's off to snuggle something or someone. all in all, bach is a snuggly child who doesn't realise how dangerously he lives.

this is the reason why nobody - not a single soul - would let him go anywhere on his own, fearing that he might one day be up and kidnapped by somebody. nobody lets him go a single place alone - even if it was a short five minute trip to the shops. or even to the toilets; someone would definitely be waiting for him by the door, watching carefully for evil-doers. it's the reason why bach also has a stuffed toy he carries around everywhere, despite being a young adult of society. because then he gets to hug something and feel safe and comfortable all he wants without randomly latching onto something.

the only time he doesn't latch onto something for comfort is when he's acutely aware of his surroundings and being forced into a social situation with a stranger. at times like these, he needs to play with something, like a paper clip or just his fingers, to get back to feeling secure. it makes things easier for him; he's not really sure why. as long as he does that, he's able to speak relatively smoothly to just about anyone. of course, around his friends, he isn't afraid to talk. his friends, too, are a source of comfort for him, especially so with how protective they can get over him.

With a deep breath, and the soft movement of his paw brushing his hair out of his eyes, Luke was on his way. He didn't know why he did that - he couldn't see anyway, so what was the point?
Regardless, the young Kalon kept moving, lifting his head to let himself hear better. He heard the smallest things - the soft rustle of grass as it was stepped on, bark on a tree shifting ever so slightly.
"So can you hear better because you're blind?" he's often asked. Luke let out a short laugh, startling himself. No, that wasn't it. Luke just had a good ear, and he'd learnt to rely on it much more.
You see, Luke was a musician.
Not only did he sing, he wrote his own songs from scratch, and played them on his harp. It was his crowning glory, that harp - a proper huge one, made of this gorgeous wood which he'd never actually learnt the name of. The strings were always kept in proper condition, and that was the one thing he'd devote all of his time to.

Luke tripped. The kalon sneezed, pushing himself up and rubbing his face with one paw, a little morosely. He'd been hoping to get to his lessons without falling and getting dirty. A concerned voice, his teacher. "Luke? Are you alright?"
Luke took one more breath, as he had done a few minutes earlier, and gave a huge grin. "Yep! I just don't want to get my harp messy."
"Don't worry. I'll clean you up once we're inside. Come on."
The two walked in silence, and the only thing Luke could concentrate on was the thought of having the strings beneath his paws again, the melodic music ringing out through the room.

The room was in complete silence - the kalons around in awe of the music Luke played. He barely noticed anything around him, as he was completely engrossed in the music. He could almost see the notes dancing around him, before fading away like a wisp. And as the music came to an end, Luke found himself smiling the widest he'd ever done in a long time. He LOVED music so much, and from the applause surrounding him, he knew they did too.

Sirius ran through the trees as fast as his paws would carry him, as he did his best to avoid tripping over a root, or running headfirst into some obstacle or other animal. He knew he needed to hurry if he was going to make it on time, and he'd already wasted an hour accidentally sleeping in.

He breathed out a sigh of relief as he broke the tree line, and found himself sprinting through a field of soft green grass, chirping crickets, and night flowers opening up for bloom. He ran straight for the top of the little hill near the far side of the field, and took a moment to catch his breath once he reached it. The grass was worn down here due to his constant use of the spot. It was perfect, raised, and clear, and just close enough to a tree line for him to feel safe, even alone at so young an age. Looking up a smile broke out on his face. Even without any setup the night sky was beautiful.

He hummed to himself as he gently set his telescope down and emptied his bag. He'd brought everything he needed for a night spent gazing at the stars; snacks, a worn journal he'd found used to scribble down observations, and most importantly his telescope and a little bundle of twigs he'd fashioned into a tri-pod to stand it on. Sure his telescope left a bit to be desired, it had a small crack in the lens, and didn't seem particularly strong, more a child's toy than anything, but it worked, and it was his.

The setup always took a while. His makeshift tripod wasn't the most stable thing around, but he made it work, clawing tiny grooves in the dirt to anchor the legs into. As he finally got his telescope into position he couldn't help but swish his tail in excitement. There wasn't anything he loved more, and he almost knocked the whole set-up over in his eagerness to look through the scope.

The sight above him was breathtaking. Glittering stars by the thousands lit up the endless inky sky. Constellations he'd memorized by heart jumped out at him, galaxy's flowed, and he found himself letting out happy chitters when he caught sight of the nights crown jewel.

A comet, bright, and distinct slowly made it's way across the sky. It was a rarity. Seeing this was a once in a lifetime event, and he felt honored to have caught it in time. He'd planned to sketch out what he saw, but found himself simply watching, unable to pull himself to look away. It was pretty, with a noticeable tail silver and shining like his own, and trying to think of how fast it must be going for him to see it move so far away boggled his mind. He didn't mind a bit the hard ground or cold wind. This was perfect, and he couldn't have been happier.

A favorite pen, notebook, and stories do the trick!
Josh like to write, about everything he thinks of. From fire-breathing Kalons to brave knights beating his anxiety for him. He has an optimistic creative process, basically meaning he can think the best of the scary. Without thinking in that trance, he finds the world terrifying.
That's why he always carries his notebook.
He has a majority of the pages of this baby blue notebook filled, he's thinking of getting another one soon. He's gone through one already, and 3 pens. Two were from writing, the third exploded in his mouth because he bit the tip not thinking about it.
His favoried story he tells is about a king. The king had three sons and a daughter, and the daughter was a twin with the second eldest. One day, the king told his children, "I need so see which child deserves the throne." The eldest and youngest brothers both fought, all while the twins discussed with their father about sharing the kingdom. The twins shared the kingdom in the end, both marrying their loves and splitting responsibilities between themselves. The eldest and youngest were baffled, and ended up causing so much trouble in the end they were banished, and the kingdom was peaceful again.
He likes to think about it as his creativity and himself, the twins, all as a whole working together to remove his fears and denial. It helps him, a lot.
He works on many stories, many he's read to others and they sometimes tell him to publish them on the spot, specifically because they're such good lessons for others. He loves the compliments and hopes to complete their requests when he gets older.

Someday, he wishes for himself not to be afraid.
Afraid of being alone.
Afraid of losing himself.
Afraid of what the world has for him.
Until then, he writes on. He'll write about himself and his worries. He'll write more about the shared kingdom. He'll write about the world.
He'll write a story for all.
