My take on the fears theme this week ^^
Based on European Garden spider. Many people are afraid of all different kinds of spiders, but this one's the worse >-<
They're everywhere.
And of course, a spidey adopt is not complete with some fluffy leg warmers.
This one will just be a simple personality comp, 300 words max.

At the moment, Arlo's main goal in life is simply to have fun. He puts little stock in worrying about the future or other's opinions, and instead just does what he loves. From setting up obstacle courses with his friends to making elaborate stories about knights and dragons, with himself as the protagonist of course, he rarely spends a day just sitting around. This doesn't mean he's completely fearless, however. He tends to be distrustful of strangers and takes some time to warm up to anyone, though he's less wary if they have an entertaining game to offer. Because he likes to avoid meeting new people, most of his play time is spent in the woods. He and his friends have a couple choice spots they especially love, like the big hollow under the willow tree and the clearing where Lincoln found a few quartz crystals.
The only things Arlo will stop his games for are insects. He finds them utterly enchanting; with their tiny, hard bodies and determination to survive in such a large world. Being a bit of a runt himself, he empathizes with them, and always tries to keep them from harm. Spiders in particular seem to catch his interest and he's often tried to take one home as a pet, much to his mother's displeasure. Among his favorites are jumping spiders, which often have colorful and exciting patterns, unlike his own rather dull coat. Arlo has on occasion borrowed some of his mother's paint to try and make himself look more colorful, like his favorite spiders, but she was quick to put a stop to it. His new plan is to save up enough to buy shiny jewelry to decorate himself with instead.

personality; amadeo is a hardheaded young viscling who adores spiders. he finds them absolutely fascinating, despite what his foster mother, vivace, thinks. he is the social butterfly and loves to hang out with friends and family. he is quite the prankster and loves to joke around, even on occasion pranking his foster mother ((which never turns out well, especially because he normally uses his spiders)). his worst fears include (but not limited to) being absolutely alone, and dragonflies. he gets insanely awkward when it comes to pyshical contact, and avoids it at all costs. he is very protective over those who he loves, and he claims he would fight a thousand dragonflies for them (which he has yet to prove). his name is derived from the latin verb, amo, which means "i love"- unfortunately, he is certainly one of the worst flirters on this side of the planet. his favorite music includes dubstep, instrumental, and chillstep, and his favorite band is the chainsmokers. he fights for what he believes to be right, and has gotten himself into heaps of trouble for it and claims he has the scars to prove it. he has a large ego and tends to backtalk constantly, despite vivace's efforts to stop him. he owns a pair of incredibly expensive sunglasses that he wears everywhere, and has been begging vivace for months to get him a leather jacket to go with it. he'll get it one day. someday. he's been saving up his money, but its hard. he is quite the money spender, and usually blows it on food- sweets in particular. naturally, his favorite holiday is Halloween ((he makes the best spider costumes, the rest just can't compare)). he has a sweet tooth, and once he tried baking. we don't speak of that.

Dia is an interesting character to say the least. She acts tough but on the inside she is truely just a big softie. Though very hotheaded she has a sort of gentle kindness that she only displays in a moment of weakness - whether it be hers or someone else's. Dia has a horrible habit of running head first into situations without thinking and often requires the stern voice of a leader to sway her away from such brash actions. If she is alone and follows through with her own plan she can very quickly end up injured for some reason or another, or just as easily make a new enemy out of someone.
Dia, being small in stature, is always very close to the bug world. Despite not being the fondest of most of the little critters, she enjoys watching the way they go through life. The way ants can carry objects twice their size, caterpillars turn into butterflies and of course the way a spider traps a fly in a web. She employs the skills she observes being used by the tiny creatures in her every day life.
