personality: calliope is the definition of ocean-loving beach hipster who probably has a tumblr just for "aesthetic" photos and posts regularly about the different sea creatures she finds and slaps ridiculous filters over her selfies. she's not particularly vain, but she is pretty satisfied with her appearance most days, and most of it can be owed to her focus on body positivity and acceptance. she's very carefree most of the time, calm and relaxed, filled with laughter, but on this, she can be very, very stubborn.
she cares greatly for her dearest and best friend sequin. calliope has known sequin since they were just little things. their relationship works surprisingly well (well, not so surprising to calliope, but for others...), and although calliope isnt the best at maintaining relationships, she tries her best for her best friend.
calliope absolutely loves ocean, and swimming is by far her favorite thing to do. she loves to feel the waves drift past her fur, smoothing it down while she floats aimlessly just below the surface of the sea. some have mistaken her for a mermaid, and on numerous occasions she's been jokingly referred to as a "irl mermaid" by her friend group. she doesnt mind at all, in fact, lowkey loves the title, because she's always found mermaids to be very beautiful creatures, and when she was younger, desperately wanted to actually be one.
