Songrems are nosy little creatures, always wandering around and getting into trouble. It seems while looking for some way to escape the heat this summer- a big group of Songrems stumbled across a waterpark! Naturally, they made themselves at home and are quite comfortable!

Hopefully you can do something to help the park management get things back in order by giving a few of these guys new homes and helping fix things around here! Don't worry, the manager says- It'll be lots of fun, Songrems love games so its the best way to get them to behave!

For this event- Songrems will be collecting diving rings! Songrems are very furry creatures- and because of their easily-waterlogged fur and stubby legs, they aren't really very good swimmers! Because of this- they really struggle to get the diving rings at the bottom of the deep pools! They're very valuable and can be traded in for some cool prizes and special songrems!

How to participate!
Summer prompts are daily prompts themed around this event!
You can use your songrem- or the mascot- to complete the prompt and earn rings! Each prompt entry will earn 3 rings- you can enter up to 3 things per prompt (use up to 3 grems, or all featuring the same grem) so you can earn up to 9 rings per day!
Writing entries must be at least 200 words to qualify, and art entries must at least be colored.

Day 1-Songrems are all preparing for summer, and as the weather gets hot- so do they! They're covered in thick fur since they used to be cold-dwelling species, so what is your songrem doing to cool down? Are they hanging out in the shade? Enjoying a nice cold lemonade? Or just tumbling facefirst into the pool?
Day 2 - Songrems are great at a lot of things- but swimming isn't one of them. Some use floaties to avoid sinking, or they learn to float on their stomachs- and some even came prepared with snorkeling equipment! How is your songrem enjoying the pool? Are they staying in the shallows or fighting their way at the deep end? Or are they content just lounging in the sun next to the water- trying not to get annoyed with the other grems splashing them?
Day 3 - Songrem's love fruit- well theyre omnivores, but nothing beats the summer heat better than a nice juicy fruit...or- something like that. Most songrems have at least one fruit they like- or if they don't, how about a substitute? What nice cold food (or smoothie!) Is your songrem enjoying this summer?
Day 4 - Summer is a time of relaxation- and a lot of songrems look forward to it all through the winter. However- lets take a rewind! Imagine its winter again...nice and chilly. What did your songrem miss the most about summer and look forward to this year? Freedom from work or classes? Hanging out with friends? Or just taking a well deserved break?
Day 5 - Songrems are fluffy. Very fluffy. Sometimes this fluff makes it hard to stay cool in the summer- so a lot of songrems choose to style their fur or hair to make it a little easier to breathe! How is your songrem keeping its fluff manageable? Styled back or tied up? Or does it just choose to stay indoors?
Day 6 - There are loads of games going on at the waterpark! What game is your songrem enjoying? Have they tried them all or are they just so stuck on one the others don't matter?
Day 7 - The songrems are all quite rowdy today! Theres talk going around of a special party coming soon at the water park... some grems are sneaking around with special decorations and party games...is your grem in on it, oblivious- or eavesdropping?
Day 8 - It seems the songrems are working on a festival! A special event held every year. Too bad for the park owner they've decided that the waterpark is the perfect place for it....What about the festival is your songrem looking forward to?
Day 9 - Where is your songrem heading after they leave the waterpark? Are they heading back home or somewhere new on vacation?
Day 10 - The sun is out, and the days are warm, Would your songrem rather be out doing active things or lazing about?
Day 11 - The songrems are holding a talent show for the festival! What talent does your songrem have to show off?
Day 12 - The talent show for the songrem fire festival was great! And all the grems who participated received a special flower lei! What kind of flowers did your songrem choose?
Day 13 - The festival is nearing the end! Theres only another day or two left! What are your songrem's plans for after the event? What kind of friends did they make?

I frantically thrashed about, fighting to keep my head above the water. The watery hands threatening to drag me down into the depths, draining the breath from my body and the water weighed down on me from above. In my panic, I suddenly felt a rough surface beneath my paws. I splashed towards it, my panic lessening. As soon as I felt the pool floor beneath my paws I sighed in relief. I saw a very pretty looking orange beach-ball floating in the pool, and had swam towards it. It was mesmerizing; it had beautiful orange and white stripes, with sparkles all over it! It also had them inside, too! I just had to get that beach-ball. I tried splashing water at it, hoping it would move; it didn't. I tried blowing, but of course: it didn't move a centimeter. I even tried yelling to some friendly-looking Grems, that were swimming around the deep end. They either didn't hear me, or ignored me. That ball was the only chance of me having fun here; the slides were too terrifying- i shivered- the wave pool was too crowded to even move, and at the lazy river, all the floaties were taken. I was trying to enjoy my time at this water park, but it seems I was either bored or trying not to sink. Standing in the shallow water alone was sad. And lonely. Everyone in the shallows was talking to someone, and I didn't want to intrude. Everyone but me. Feeling despaired, I was ready to bite the bullet, and give up on playing with the beach ball. Turning away, I sunk into the water, the chill reaching my neck. Soon I felt a tap on my shoulder, and, turning around, to my surprise; the beach-ball! And two little Grems! They told me they saw me trying to get to the ball, and that I was all alone, and swam to retrieve the sparkly sphere. They asked if I would mind playing with them, and I answered that I would love that! Together we lightly batted it around, splashing and laughing. We passed it back and forth, chatting about ourselves and our lives. This trip didn't turn out to be boring after all.

Malibu flopped onto her side, she was on the shallow side of the pool, enjoying herself while splashing water at others with her tail. She bobbed towards the edge of the pool where she left her blue slushie and sipped it until there was nothing left. A slight pain in her head let her know that she has a brain freeze, and she had to hold her tongue against the roof of her mouth until her brain stopped throbbing. Boo didn't have any friends at the pool, her usual partner in crime was off at some tropical island while she had to be stuck here at the pool. She didn't mind the pool, at least the water was nice, but she couldn't say the same about the hygiene of it. A lot of songrems were in the pool that day, there was fur, band-aids and who knows what else floating around in that pool. She sighed, her eyes narrowing against the sun, Who knew it would be this hot? She kind of wobbled to the deeper end of the pool to grab a donut floatie and squeezed right into it. Her fish-like tail made it easier to swim around when she didn't have to use her front paws to stay above the water. She lay back on the floatie and swam around the pool, occasionally bumping into other songrems, but she was too relaxed to notice.

Avi had parked his two-passenger plane on the roof of a research building. He had left the engine on which meant the propeller was still spinning, sending lots of cold air his way. He was on his way to a small pool, which was located directly above his cousin's office, on the roof. The research facility was equipped with things like a zoo behind it and a pool on the roof. There was even a cafe, it was the perfect vacation spot. Avi took out his keys and let the engine cool down, waddling towards the pool with a towel over his shoulder. He set the towel down on a chair at the mini-bar, pouring himself a glass of pina colada. The research facility was closed for the weekend, and his cousin was working late so the pool was all his. He sipped some of his drink, setting it down on the poolside. He had borrowed his cousin's expensive- and very comfortable- floating chair, which he had a bit of a hard time getting into. But in the end, he was sitting in it comfortably, the only thing missing was his drink. He swished his feet in all directions, trying to get closer to the poolside. The chair almost flopped over, but he managed to retrieve his drink. The only problem was that he didn't know how to get out of the pool.

pompeii's favorite cold treat during the summer heat is a tall strawberry kiwi smoothie! the texture is a lot like ice cream for pompeii and the smooth, soft texture and thinner consistency of smoothies helps keep the over-active young songrem from drinking too much at once and coughing up a lung, like milkshakes and malts tend to do. even better are homemade smoothies, especially when her moms pitch in together and make the Biggest and tastiest smoothies ever! pompeii isnt terribly picky however, so she's more than fine settling for a refreshing glass of lemonade or vanilla-flavored soft serve instead. that doesnt mean smoothies arent still her favorite though! she is usually very eager for summer, because that means she can drink All the smoothies while getting significantly less weird looks. often times, pompeii looks for any excuse to ask for a smoothie, and has gotten on quite a few smoothie places "best customer" lists because she frequently drags her parents over to get one when she sees them. it's a bit of a troublesome little thing, but she is willing to sacrifice play time for refreshing, freezing cold smoothie deliciousness. no one understands, but she has hope for her parents yet!

theia often finds herself confused what to do when the summer months roll in and the heat picks up significantly. she isnt one to dally outside in the heat much unless those she's close to invite her or are as well, but she occasionally finds herself enjoying the sun and the sea breeze as the tides roll in and waves crash against the sandy beaches. being a thicker-coated 'grem, theia usually runs to hide under the shade with whatever drink she can procure, however her go-to and "almost but basically favorite" drink would have to be pink lemonade, most definitely. most of the time, she'll add a few ice cubes and a little paper umbrella and tada!, her "favorite" drink is ready to go. theia enjoys the simplistic and vaguely citrus-y taste of the drink, as she's not a fan of drinks that overpower her taste buds, such as orange juice with pulp or certain types of fruits and their respective juices, and she is quite fond of the soft yet colorful appearance of pink lemonade in her glass. it's very relaxing to watch the ice cubes in her glass swirl around after she gives it a little shake or twist.

Prompt entry;; Zander's favorite fruit to eat during the hot summer months is watermelon. He loves the texture of it, as well as the taste, but he is very picky. The fruit has to be perfect, not too squishy and not too firm, and also cold. There is nothing worse than a warm watermelon. Over time, he has become very good at choosing the perfect watermelon, so he knows just how it will be when he finally gets to cut into it. While he enjoys it in any shape, Zander prefer large slices so that he can dig right in to his heart's content. He doesn't mind sharing, so will often split an entire mellow with his buddies, or the young songrems that he often looks after. Due to his obsession with the fruit, he has also attempted to grow them on his own, using the seeds from the best tasting watermelons. Despite his best efforts, he has never been successfully able to grow one. The vine has gotten several feet long, but has always died before producing any fruit. So instead, Zander has settled on purchasing them. He normally chooses to eat them outside somewhere in the shade, so that he can simply spit out the black seeds somewhere in the grass.

Prompt entry;; After a good day's work Aviator needed to relax a bit. He thought he'd walk to the nearest juice shop and get the newest drink. He put on his hat and his shades to block the sun from his eyes and walked out of his workplace. Strolling casually down the road he noticed an ad on the side of a shop. The shop was so... orange, but the drinks looked cool. Mongoose Juice? It's worth a try. Avi nodded to himself and continued walking. When he reached this 'Mongoose Juice' place he looked through the fancy glass doors. It seemed to be quite deserted inside, and there was only one person at the counter, appearing to be focused on a cross-word puzzle. Avi pushed the door open slowly, "Hello? It's quite empty in here, I was wondering if you're open." he said, his voice kinda echoed throughout the place. The male at the counter looked up from his crossword, "Oh yes, we're open, welcome!" he said and smiled brightly, "The place doesn't get many customers these days." Avi smiled back, looking at the words written in white chalk on the black-board. 'Mongoose Juice, made with love, and 100% real fruit!' Avi tilted his head to the side, going through the types of drinks he could order. "Alright, I'll get the... hmm... the mango crush special?" he sat down on a chair as the older songrem memorized his order, "Sure!" he said. A few minutes passed and he returned with one medium-sized mango crush special. Upon handing it over to Avi, he merely said "Enjoy." and returned to his crossword puzzle. Avi sipped the juice slowly at first, reluctant to taste it, but when it hit his tongue it was like an explosion of flavor. He closed his eyes for a moment, savoring the moment. "This is delicious! Best juice I've ever had." Avi replied, sipping some more. He had decided that he would come here some days after work and try out all the other juices that the Mongoose Juice offered. But so far, the mango crush special was his favorite.
