Hippocampi are mythical sea horses with the head and body of a horse and the tail of a fish. They were once thought to be extinct but after many years we finally found a few breedings pairs. Most of the Hippocampis we have for adoption were born in captivity and were cross bred to regular horses to increase their numbers faster. This also led to most of them having more natural horse coats however, our hunt for Hippocampis has not ended yet and we hope to find more wild hippocampis which we will be able to adopt out increasing chances of fish bases spreading. Hippocampis are not measured in hands like regular horses they are infact measured in metres from nose to tail, with them averaging between 15 and 30 metres. It is not uncommon to see them outside of these lengths though.

Calcifer is rather playful and has the tendency to give snarky remarks. He isn't the friendliest of all hippocampus but he'll make an effort to try and be friendly. He will keep his promises and will try his best to fulfill them. Calcifer is also a quick-thinker, able to quickly analyse and deduce something in a short amount of time. However, he can be a bit whiny at times if things don't go as planned or if he doesn't get what he wants.

Personality: Espada is impersonal, sardonic and has a habit of criticizing others. However, she rarely engages in violence and fights only if provoked. If she's getting interest in you, you will know. Though if it's positive or negative, time can only tell. Yet Espada is very intelligent and shrewd. This mare has seen and felt much pain, pain that changed her personality and whole life. She will never forget what she had to went through. So many things that had shaped her the way she's now. However, the equine won't give up and stop believing in faith. Espada does have sensitive points, they are just hard to hit or better to bring her to show them. She can be nice if she likes you or trust you since this mare is difficult to impress and get her to trust you. Though in the end, Espada is just a horse and like all horses likes to stay in herds, she does too. She's yearning for the old days, for her old life.

Being a wild Hippocampus Athena's personality is a lot different in captivity than it was when she was free. There she was found to be a very proud, gentile mare. She was very watchful and was always found keeping an eye on the foals. Due to this she is believed to be one of the lead mares of the herd. She was a very brave mare and would be one of the first to confront any danger. Though she was a bit snappy to some of the other mares when they were on her nerves she never hurt any of them and would often give up her grazing spots for others. She was also found to be one of the most playful and curious among the other hippocampuses and loved to play among the foals.

In captivity she has been a lot different. She is a very spirited, head strong mare that will escape at the first opportunity. She can be very aggressive and refuses to let anyone near her. When she was first captured and found to be wounded by a shark she had to be sedated in order to treat the wounds safely.
She spends most of her days pacing the glass and if anyone walks nearby she bolts towards them. No one has been able to interact with her yet and it's a challenge just to feed her in the morning. Many think this behavior is from the loss of her herd and that over time she will return to her past behavior, revealing an extraordinary creature.

Personality: Amphitrite is a regal and commanding Hippocampi. She is definitely a leader among Hippocampis. She is patient with her family and her friends, but if anyone pushes her too far she will not hesitate to give them a firm reprimand. She dislikes being told what to do but if you represent an argument to her in a logical manner she will gladly listen to your opinions and give you her thoughts. She is very organized and likes to have everything in order working properly. Though she often seems aloof and detached, she can be a totally different Hippocampi with her friends and family when she loosens up and lets herself have some fun. She is actually very fond of racing. She is more or less the guardian of the dolphins, taking this particular species under her fins to care for. If you hurt her family, or her dolphins, you may not be prepared for her wrath. When angered she can be merciless and fierce, showing little mercy.

Brevity definitely acts like a baby hippocampus even though he is six years old. He is often seen playing pranks upon other sea creatures and other hippocampus. He is curious about humans but he is also quite tame with them as well. He has realized that if he is tame he gets fed treats and he definitely loves his treats <3 He has a temper though which only really comes out when he is protecting the creatures that he loves. He does show mercy and will forgive quite easily.

Holy is a southern belle, she is and upper class hippo with a down-to-earth outlook on life. She cares deeply for others and always seems to have a gentle, loving attitude. While she does have a slight temper, Holy likes to stick to her roots while staying classy and keeping up her reputation. She strives to show others that she isn't intimidated by their opinion of her. Holy is also a giver, she enjoys keeping others happy even if it means sacrificing something she wants too. She tries to be careful of other who would take advantage of her since she has been hurt in the past.
Holy is very spiritual and believes that after she dies, that she will be reborn again with a greater purpose.
Holy attracts men, they are seemingly drawn to her like shes and angel or a goddess. She doesnt even have to try. With all of this atrention she recieves, most of it is unwanted. While she occationally does enjoy to flirt, Holy would prefer to find someone who loves her for just her and not her looks.
Holy tends to be easily distracted by things she wants. Her heart belongs to the wilderness, that is where she came from. Though she was domesticated young, the voice inside her heart calls for the outside world. She wonders about it, and sometimes she feels like she belongs there more than as a domestic horse, but of course she loves being a pet too. She is very torn.
