CD #005 - Aksel

Cervulpian Doxxie? Heck? wrote:A Cervulpian Dox, or Doxxie, as they
are commonly called, is an ancient species
of mammalian descent that has recently
been discovered living high in the Appala-
chian mountains. They are quite deerlike
in physic, but have some foxish attributes
as well. Since they seem to be a hybrid
species, they come in many different
mutations, and each one is unique.

Doxxies vary in temperaments anywhere
from timid and shy, to fiery and aggressive.
The more deer-like a doxxie is, the less
aggressive it is. However, aggressive deerlike
doxxies can be found. These strange creatures
have short, thick plush-like fur, and round,
intelligent eyes, making them seem almost
stuffed-animal like. They do not have teeth,
and suck on the food they choose to eat.
Doxxies can eat virtually anything, however,
it has been discovered that they enjoy to
suck on bits of stone or bone that have been
infused with healthy minerals, or even
dropped bits of antlers!

I never really had the best of lives, but how could one?
No one can be perfect, and I learned this at a price;
but I digress, let me tell you my story...

I was born in a peaceful Doxxie herd well into the artic, far colder with much more
snow than a typical mountain. We were often considered as a legend
to other southern Doxxie since none could expect that a Doxxie could survive
such extreme weather conditions. Oh, but we were real alright, and we called
ourselves the "Blue Pelted Doxxies." Since, well, most of us had blue fur naturally. Though there
were a few that were larger and had very long white fur, imagine a big artic fox that forgot
to trim his fur for a few months, those Doxxies were our leaders since they were stronger than the lot of us.

Both of my parents were your usual blue pelted Doxxie, nothing too special about them.
Aside from the story mother used to tell us as foals about my father being crazy enough to try and impress
her by dunking his head in the icy cold lake nearby to catch a fish, only to be told strictly by his mentor
that fish don't even swim in those waters. In fact, if you look close enough, you can still see bits of frozen icicles
on his antlers since it never warms up enough here to melt all of the water off. They were peaceful days when I was little, until I grew older.

I became rebellious and foolish, I was tired of listening to the leaders, I wanted to travel
south and not be cooped up in the isolated frigid cold, but I kept being told that I couldn't as the southern weather would be too
much for a blue pelt. However, I believed my opinion was the only right answer, so I challenged the white pelted leaders.
Such behavior hadn't been seen in a long time in the Northern Doxxie herd, so the leaders decided to put me in my place and
challenged me to an antler dual. I lost of course, how could I've won? I wasn't taught in the ways of combat at all.
They casted me away to fend for myself shortly after, I could go the south just like I wanted.

After a long journey I won't bore you with, I was proven wrong, and the southern weather
was too hot for a blue pelt. I retreated back north, enraged with my poor decisions and
my own herd, but I couldn't go back as you could guess.

And here I am now, alone, rightfully punished for my pride.

I have returned temporarily for collecting/trading
December 18th pets and seasonal art purchasing. After
I do some trade ups and downs for art fodder to get a
couple pieces of art and save a few personal things,
I am going to host a giveaway and finally leave CS for good.
Thanks for the awesome memories CS. The Lord ended up
using this site to bring about a testimony that I will never forget.
Currently searching for artists who can draw HQ humans
in an olden time-period. Please PM me for more information.
