Called 'kari' for short, Hikari are small fox-like creatures who have different types
of horns and designs to distinguish them from the rest of the Karis. Hikari have glow
on their horns to attract other Hikari, to make one fall for the other. Like foxes,
Hikari have four paws and walk on all four feet. Kari communicate with barks and
howls, like a dog or a wolf would do. Hikari are kept for pets sometimes, but can
be seen in meadows or forests frolicking around and rolling in grass.

Evanna bounded through the thick field of grass. She was chasing a small caterpillar, who had offended her by crawling into her territory. "You will never venture into my territory again, little caterpillar!" Evanna shouted, pouncing on the insect. She stumbled and missed the caterpillar. She lifted her head, and saw she was in the forest. "Ooh, yay, I love the forest!" Evanna said, prancing forward again. Thick dark clouds moved in the shy, but the small hikari didn't notice. She lifted her nose to the air and sniffed in all of the fresh forest air. Boom! Evanna's ears pricked up. Thunder. And thunder meant rain. She looked towards the now dark sky, and felt a raindrop touch her forehead. She turned around, hesitated, then ran back through the forest. Thunder. Light flashed. Lightning. Evanna crouched, her ears lowered. A branch tumbled down from the darkness. Evanna screamed, and felt the branch's weight on top of her. She screamed again, and tried to push herself up. She couldn't, she was trapped. "Please, help!" Evanna cried into the darkness. Her fur was now soaked, and the ground was slippery and muddy. She used her back legs to push herself forward. "Ow!" The branch had cut into her shoulder, causing it to bleed. It was deep, she could tell. Evanna pushed herself forward again, and felt the branch roll off of her. She turned back to look at the forest, then ran back towards the field where she had chased the caterpillar. Ever since that day, Evanna was a lot more reserved and a lot less adventurous. She know has her small scar to remind her of the incident, and to remind her of the dangers that she encountered.

how they got their scar: Leon practices magic on his free time. He likes to try spells that include using 'the force', which is basically an energy field that surrounds magic makers. Once, he tried to pick up a flower vase, with flowers in it. but he wasn't completely comfortable with using this magic, so he dropped it and glass shattered everywhere.. he accidentally slipped, making him fall on the glass, giving him the scar. "aww, come on! right on the symbol my master gave me! really?"

how they got their scar: Witch was and has always been, to all the other Kari, very unusual. They all had strange patterns, this was not what was unusual. Even more vibrant colouring, even more eerie colouring, was not uncommon. What made Witch so unusual was the eye-shaped marking on her shoulder; this was what was strange. Witch never did know why, and still does not, but others have always been wary of her. She got her scar when she was attacked by some very paranoid neighbours... She rarely goes outside anymore. Her scar doesn't show only on the outside.
