We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. These two were dropped off from two college students that apparently were friends. They just couldn't keep the poor darlings due to school and their energy. We think that maybe they should've become roommates but we still took them with open arms.

Dolphin is fascinated by them. What are those
little pinpricks of light so high up? Does anything
eat them? Live on them? She's always liked the
look of them twinkling above her in the dark.
However, she spends so much time thinking about
them and watching them in the dead or night she
finds herself tired in the morning and unable to
concentrate.

I watched as the lights above twinkled. what are they?
I wondered yet again.
I wish I knew, I thought. Brr. It's cold out here, I muttered.
I turned and headed
back to the loft where I love to sleep.
I look at the ceiling and smile. There are my stars,
the best stars.
I look around. Coffee is sleeping
on a pile or blankets nearby.
I go to join her. I watch
my stars shining above me, the stars
put there by my owner so she
could watch them too.

They seem distracted but by what?: Fatespeaker was chatting about some 'invisible' fly she saw and would love to catch, and gullible lil' Gale is searching for the 'invisible' fly, but all in all once he finds out its fake, he'll just laugh with Fate.

They seem distracted but by what?:
Well, you see Deathkeeper seems to think she can see ghosts. Being her friend, Fatekeeper indulges her in this, and whether it's actually true is anyone's guess. But it seems she thinks there's a spirit of some sort of angel there.

She 'discovered' this ability when she was around eight weeks old, so of course any litter mates of hers probably thought she, and her behavior, was quite odd. Her mother just ignored it, it seems, because sometimes she'll mention them, and the big female cat that wouldn't say anything to her about stopping, but also never really listened to her.
She tells anyone who asks, that she can see angels, lesser ones, and that she sees the spirits of animals and children that have not seemed to be able to move on. For some reason, she says, they seem to think she's a good choice to come to. Of course, she'll sit and listen to their story, and sometimes she says she'll even try to help them do whatever they need to move on, if she thinks it's something she can do, like finding the body, or seeing that the parents really did love them.
She feels strongly about this connection to another world, because her connection to the other world called her family life, in the beginning, was one of being alone and feeling they didn't really want her around. Even though the human(s) that picked her and Fatespeaker up seemed to care, they were then dropped off here, and again she felt unwanted. So, she tries to help these guys because even though the spirits aren't around long, they are as close to friends as she believes she'll get, besides Fatespeaker.
