Name: Colby
Duel Meaning: "from a coal town" - refers to his quirk with coal & originally named after colby cheese due to his orange coat. Not to mention he loves cheese as well. Cheese was the only way to train him, normal cat treats just didn't work.
Gender: Male
Collar Color: original bow tie
The bow tie represents his polite manners when there is guests in the house. He acts like a great gentlemen with visitors but when there is no one around he is like a complete lunatic. Although “lunatic” is just a playful term to described his abnormal behaviour.
Personality: This kit absolutely loves to be imaginative. It is a little childish but he likes to see himself as a ninja lurking in the shadows, fighting crime that cannot be seen by the human eye. Essentially ghosts, spirits, and what have you that is known to be only seen by cats. Colby is the protector and guardian of the household, nothing can get through this little ninja. Although being a ninja takes a lot of energy, so when it’s time to have a nap, he generally tends to sleep on a stack of comic books. It doesn’t sound comfortable but there is a reason behind it. See, Colby imagines that the superheroes in the comic books he sleeps on will come out of the comic book to protect him while he sleeps. So nothing can harm him in his beauty sleep. Outside of Colby’s imagination, he is a very decisive cat that can make decisions on the fly. This tends to go hand-in-hand with his tendencies to have more curiosity than a cat should, which lends to many adventures. Some of which are great, and others not so much. After all Colby always learn the hard way. His decisive trait also lends a helping hand in his tendencies to be spontaneous and keep the house on lively. With Colby in the house, everyone has got to be on their toes, who knows what is lurking around the corner or what the kit is up to next. Sometimes it turns into a game of who can find Colby first for the kids, and for the adults it's a betting game for what Colby will do next. Trash the bathroom, or set the kitchen on fire. He doesn’t mean to cause such a ruckus, it just seems to be the outcome of the situation when he’s fighting those demons. Some say he asks for though due to his devious plans to get those rotten ol demons out of his house. However when there is no demons around to fight, Colby becomes quite bored. You could say this is when some of his true colours shine because he isn’t obsessed with whatever is running through his imagination. Underneath it all he is quite the nerdy kit, and enjoys to play in strategy games with other cats, watching television when there’s superheroes involved, or having comic books read to him all the while he is cuddled up to his favourite person. During this is very calm and has quite a contrast from when he has his head in the clouds, or as he would say, in the thick of a battle.
Quirks: Colby has an odd relationship with coal, he just loves the stuff and its like catnip for him. Luckily for his owners, he doesn't lick it and instead just likes to play with the coal, or roll around in it until his furr becomes black. The tricky part is bathing him afterwards before he attempts to clean himself. No one wants to take the chance of Colby becoming poisoned due to the coal, and no matter what anyone does to try to prevent him from getting into the stuff, he always finds a way. So it's easier to just allow to him to do it and then clean him right away once he's had his fun. That way you know, otherwise it's a huge risk when you just happen to find him covered in black dust. You have no sweet clue how long he has been like that and if he tried to clean himself. Little does anyone know that Colby covers himself in coal for camouflage, that's his special little secret. So he has no interest in cleaning the black dust off of himself, and also makes bathing difficult. He makes quite the little ninja.
Theme Song: Olly Murs - Heart Skips A BeatUsually when people think of the phrase “my heart skips a beat” they refer to their reaction when see they someone they believe is very attractive. Now Colby here isn’t really a lover boy, he hasn’t found a huge interest in it. So for him, this refers to how his heart skips a beat when adrenaline is rushing through his veins.

Name: Jack
Duel Meaning: It matches his brother’s name, but also refers to Jack and the Beanstalk. Cheese and Beans, what could go wrong?
Gender: Male
Collar Color: same bow tie design as Colby except verse colours (black collar and white tie)
This collar symbolizes that Jack is Colby brother, they are one in the same, but they are also different. Just because they are brothers doesn’t mean they have similar personalities, instead they contrast with one another, they are opposites.
Personality: Jack is the more realistic and mature kit compared to his brother, Colby. With that said he does have some traits about him that people may consider childish, such as being jealous. Jack is a very affectionate cat, whenever he notices his brother receiving attention there is an overwhelming wave of jealousy that washes over him. He was no self control in these situations, and he always goes over to take people's attention off of his brother. You could say that Jack is competitive, since there’s no real excuse as to why he does this. Perhaps in his eyes, because Colby isn’t affectionate and therefore doesn’t deserve any affection or attention that is offered. Either way the two of them were never treated differently. Jack has different values, and some could consider them to be odd values, something you wouldn’t usually price something at. For starters he doesn’t value friends or family highly, instead he believes it’s more important to have a mate. And that isn’t for the use of reproducing or anything, since he dislikes kits. It’s purely because he has it stuck in his head that his mate will love him and give him endless affection. That is all. There is also values in trading or currency, to him sometimes he believes the lesser values are worth more and vice versa. It isn’t recommended to try to bargain with him, unless you know what you at getting into. He doesn’t negotiate. Speaking of that though, Jack is highly materialistic. He doesn’t need to have something new and freshly bought all the time, but it makes him feel good about himself. He just absolutely loves to get something new to play with, break it in. But then afterwards it’s broken and used, he has a small tingling in the back of head whispering that he needs something new. The toy just got boring and it’s no longer fun. His attention spends can be short if there isn’t anything new introduced to him, and he isn’t inventive or creative to figure out new ways to play with the toy. So despite these seemingly childish traits, Jack is very serious and structural. He doesn’t joke around, he doesn’t play with other cats, and he above all doesn’t disobey rules. There is rules for a reason, and jokes or pranks are just child’s play. It’s not how adults are suppose to act like. Although he doesn’t play with other cats because he is scared of hurting them, he’d never admit it but honestly he doesn’t know how to play with others or socialize normally. So he just closes himself off, it’s easier that way. What amazes him is by how his brother does it, he just can’t wrap his head around how that cat can effortless up and play. No words even have to exchanged with Colby to play. Jack has another issue with rules, because he knows rules are not meant to be broken, he always gets anxious when they are disobeyed. Even if it isn’t caused by himself, he worries over how someone will react and tries to figure out ways to fix the mess or how to rationalize with the person about the rule. This isn’t to be misinterpreted as cowardice because Jack is quite fearless and will stand up for what he believes in or for his actions. He doesn’t let anyone tell him otherwise, especially when it comes to humans. He does what humans call being spiteful, and he will go pee on their belongings just to show they aren’t the boss of him. It generally only comes back to bite him in the butt, but it still makes him feel good about himself. As if he is defending his territory. At times Jack can be sly and clever when he is trying to gain something he wants, like affection or a new toy. But he can also show those traits when he is defending himself, as he is quick-witted and can easily turn words around in ways that people will agree with him without even realizing they are agreeing. Which is another reason why it isn’t wise to bargain with this kit. He never lies about something and is always truthful, it’s just a dangerous game when you try to go up against him.
Quirks: Whenever Jack becomes nervous or anxious he has an episode of cute "feminine" sneezes. Much like when someone has the hiccups, there is pauses in between the sneezes. It isn't two sneezes either, it is a row of multiple sneezes. The rest of the litter would tease him about it, although some meant no harm, it become one of the reasons as to why Jack isn't fond of family. Poor guy is a little (very) sensitive on topics such as these.
Theme Song: Olly Murs - Grow UpRelationship with Colby: Although Jack often pushes Colby away, Colby always comes back. It doesn't seem to matter what he does to his brother, he always automatically forgives Jack without Jack even apologizing. In fact, Jack never apologizes. As a result Colby kind of grew on Jack and he has come to care for his brother in an odd way. Not that he would ever admit to his feelings. So although deep down he cares for Colby, on the surface he generally ignores the cat. He tries his best to not be around the psychopath, as Jack often refers to his brother as. Whenever he is forced to be around Colby, its generally torture because he has to tolerate and babysit the adolescent. It doesn't seem to occur to Jack that they are the same age and he doesn't have to babysit anyone. Babysitting is like a instinct for Jack that he doesn't even acknowledge as for what it is. It is an act of affectionate and wanting to care for his brother, but Jack won't accept that reasoning as to way he must babysit Colby. Instead he insists that it is because he doesn't want to be thrown out onto the streets again. His logic is that if Colby misbehaves and becomes "too much of a hassle" for the owner, than the owner will throw them both out of the house. And Jack can't allow that to happen. People usually comment that the brothers compliment and complete each other, but apart they are little spawns of Satan.
