explanation :
The first quote really makes me think of this Babu because of her eyes and how they're kind of wonky which made me think of wearing a mask to make others like her and not think she was different. Eleanor has always been alone and prefers it that way...although when she is with someone she hides her true self with the 'mask'. The second quote really makes her look at other lonely people to which she can connect to them and comfort them. She enjoys learning about Babus that are almost like her and are lonely...she realizes that she can be herself around them which makes her feel better as well as the others feel better.
