JIMANJI

USERNAME;; FAB. GENDER;; MALE

WHERE DO THEY LIVE?;;
Legends tell of a beast that lives deep within the depths of the earth,
waiting for the right time to strike. In order to soothe the beast, food
must be presented - if it's appetite is soothed, it won't reveal itself,
and then, no one will get harmed. This legend was aroused when a
group of local villagers headed into a cave system, and saw something
stir within the darkness. Thoroughly scared - they dropped their supplies
and fled. One of the climbers fell casualty to a long fall. Many assumed
the climber had fallen to his doom, and would never return. However,
after a couple of months of being presumed dead, he emerged. He spoke
of a beast; who saved his life.
This beast was Jimanji - he'd made the caverns his home,
and knew them like the back of his hand. It was hard however, to get
food down there. He made do with campers supplies for awhile - and
was even more thankful when people started leaving him food. He
loves the mystical element to his cavern like home, and how he can
stay hidden - he was never really social. The cavern is perfect for him
too, warm in the winter, cool in the summer. There's plenty of water
supplies - but Jimanji likes to visit the deepest part of the cavern to rest
- somewhere with glowing mushrooms, they provide him solace when he
feels alone.
Jimanji is known to rehabilitate small animals that get lost in the caverns,
as well as help humans out of the cave. Many still view him as a monster
though, and many have tried to hunt down the deity in the caves. At this
point - it's only the village elders that can pass down tales of his good, in
hopes to save the gentle beast.
