Their hobby;
Oh, come on, who has just one hobby? Not Roza, that's for sure. I suppose, though, if you were going to take a general look at his hobbies and p
ick something from that, front and center is his first and foremost goal - to learn. Oh, he loves learning! There's just so much to learn in this w
orld, and so little time to learn it. Why would he ever waste that time?
Okay, well, when it comes to learning, there are a few things he's still getting the hang of - the first of which being two languages. Being a 'lea
rner', Roza wants to challenge himself by learning as much as he possibly can, even in more difficult subjects. While taking on the challenge of-
one language was enough for Roza, he decided to go the extra mile and learn two. First up, there's Spanish, which is a language that he believes
will be pretty useful in his life. Choosing Spanish as his first learned language felt like a smart choice with very practical usage. And then he's a
lso learning Russian as his second learned language. He felt that, not only would learning Russian be more challenging, but it would also help to-
tie him to his Russian roots a little better. Now, despite his predictions, he's actually struggling more with Spanish than with Russian, and, whil-
e it was unexpected, he's loving every second of it. He might even consider learning a third if learning Russian keeps going so well!
Well, I suppose that in a way, Roza is learning a third language - programming. Or, well, there are multiple programming languages, so.. Either
way, Roza is learning programming, and, well, hardly understanding it, but still. He's making an effort, but it is pretty difficult for him to reall
y 'get' any of it. He's considering just giving up, but he's no quitter! Right now his goal is to work on his program's reliability. It's pretty importa
nt for a program to be reliable and, at the current time, Roza's little test program is the least reliable thing on the planet. Well, at least he's tr
ying, right?
Roza is also learning how to sing, not especially well, admittedly, but he's not very far in his training. He decided, at first, that he was going to
teach himself how to sing, although now he's hired a professional instructor. He's not the worst singer in the world, of course, although he does h
ave plenty of trouble with singing. He has terrible breath control and a tendency to get off key. Luckily enough, he really has been improving, al
though not to the point that he feels satisfied with his learning. He attends lessons every other day, or as often as his schedule allows.
Of course, Roza has hobbies that aren't as focused on learning something. To be fair, though, he does learn a lot from them as well. The first of
his less learning focused hobbies are running & cycling. Roza finds exercise to be pretty fun, so, although others might not consider it a hobby, h
e does. He also enjoys swimming when he can, but he lives in a pretty cold area so it's a little harder to go swimming than it is to run or cycle.
The next of his hobbies is gardening. He's always been a fan of the more 'practical' side of hobbies, and this is surely one of them. He not only gro
ws flowers in his 'garden' {because of how cold it is where he lives, he keeps the plants that are more sensitive to the cold inside and leaves the m
ore hardy plants outside in his backyard garden} but also fruits, vegetables, and herbs. He loves that he can enjoy something like this, as well as
use what he gets from it. If he wants, he can use any of the edible plants in his cooking, and what he doesn't use he can sell or give to those in ne
ed.
The last of his hobbies is cooking - and it's pretty much his favorite. Not only can he use what he gets from his gardening to make meals for hims
elf and others, he also gets to do one of the things he loves the best - learning! Every new week, Roza gives himself a new set of recipes to lear
n and create. He never eats the same things twice! Well, unless he absolutely loves the recipe, in which case he'll make different things to acco
mpany it. He also finds it to be a really great form of stress-relief and a good source of fun. Unfortunately, he doesn't always have the time to c
ook because of his busier schedule, but he still enjoys it when he can.
