Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.
Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sentient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.
Glory to Atom.
I've been playing Fallout 4's Far Harbour and was inspired to make a child of atom inspired kiddo.
To win this kid, you're going to have to tell me where their favourite location is in the Fallout Universe. Yes, this is going to take some research. This could either be a hypothetical ['if they lived in the universe, this would be their favourite'], or if you choose them to exist in a Fallout AU, it could be their actual favourite place.
You then have to explain why.
Looks like they're blind from radiation damage. Bummer !

Name:
Adam
Gender:
Male
Personality:
Adam is an adventurous young lad who loves to tinker with little projects. All he knew was Vault life, and typically was seen fixing miscellaneous problems and making life better for everyone, even at 6 years old. However, everyone knew he couldn't stand being so sheltered and trapped. How he wanted to leave the Vault and explore. He was a kind soul, who was very friendly and got along with everyone. When he was 10, he found enough scrap and built himself a mechanical dog as a little pet. Adam showed amazing intelligence, even if he did keep to himself sometimes. Nobody ever expected him to actually leave, especially when he left behind his dog..
Favourite location and why:
GOOD OL' GOODSPRINGS
Adam was just minding his business, wandering through the Wasteland that used to be full of life. It had been 207 years since the Great War at this point in his life, and all he knew was Vault Life, until he was about 15 years old. He managed to escape his vault, in the hopes that life outside had finally healed. Of course, once he stepped foot outside, he was proven greatly wrong. This poor guy learned the hard way about how awful life on Earth had become, especially when he came across his first DeathClaw. Obviously, he escaped, but not after receiving a few painful souvenirs! His travels left him weary, and he felt very odd along the way. The young teen managed to make his way to Goodsprings, and found shelter there. When he first stumbled into the lonely town, he nearly thought it abandoned and almost left. While walking, he heard a voice nearby and dashed behind what was left of the doorway of a nearby house. He saw a robot go by, muttering to itself. Adam followed the robot into a rebuilt part of town, and realized it must not be hostile. Minding his injuries, he goes up to the robot and introduces himself, learning that the robot's name was Victor, and there was a friendly doctor nearby he could get help from. Victor escorted the teen to Doc Mitchell's house, where he got his wounds checked out from his encounter with the DeathClaw. Doc Mitchell informed him of all the dangerous wildlife that now roamed the Wasteland, and of the dangers that come from the Raiders. He also told Adam about the War between the NCR and Legion. Adam frowned when Doc spoke of this, and vowed to himself to not take a side. After a few days, Adam realized something was wrong. He stumbled around the house, wondering why everything was so dark! The poor boy shouted for the Doctor, and felt the cool hands of Doc Mitchell lead him to a bed. Unfortunately, his time out in the wasteland had exposed him to too much radiation and caused him to go blind. Doc basically took Adam under his wing, and became a father-figure for the boy as he began to love their little town. He was taught how to see without his eyes, and quickly learned how to navigate and 'see' again. Adam met the others who lived in town, including Trudy, who he took great interest in learning from. She taught him the ways of bartering, and selling merchandise to customers, even with his blindness. Adam grew to love the town as his new home, and rarely thought of his life in the Vault. The townsfolk loved him, and he brought spirit back to Goodsprings. They were his family now, and he wouldn't change that for anything. As the years passed, he learned how to defend the town by building new traps and contraptions that did his work for him. When he was older, in his late 20's, he vividly remembers meeting a strange person who 'stumbled' into town just as he had. Using the term stumble lightly, as the stranger had been practically dead in the arms of Victor. Doc patched them up, and sent them on their way, but it left Adam wondering what his life would had been like if he traveled.
[563 words used. I am so sorry I took this a little far xD Love Fallout. I figured a story would explain 'why' better]

name: Cole
gender: Male
personality:
calm – determined – adaptable – realist - lonely
Cole’s default setting is ‘annoyingly calm’. Almost nothing can faze him, make him sad or angry or stressed. He tends to take everything in his stride and under exaggerate a lot of situations- from failing a test to going blind, Cole deals with it all with his usual don’t-cry-over-spilt-milk attitude.
Because of this he’s usually taken for a slacker, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Even if he doesn’t show it, Cole never takes anything lying down. He’s extremely adaptable and usually knows how to twist a situation to his advantage, and if he doesn’t, he’ll try damn hard to change it anyway.
Still, Cole does like to take his life slower than so many people around him, especially since, well, losing his eyes. He can often be found just relaxing outside- nature is tranquil and peaceful and everything that everyday life should be. He likes hearing everybody else’s life stories, and is always there as a steady shoulder to lean on. It takes away that feeling he’s had, of being left behind in his calm, dark bubble. Yes, he does get lonely sometimes. But he now sees himself as imperfect, broken, lost- who would want to spend time with him? Cole knows that there are some situations that he just can’t change; blindness is one of them. So he’s just going to suck it up and deal with it.
favourite location and why: Spectacle Island.
If there was one place in the Fallout universe that Cole had to live in for the rest of his life, it would be Spectacle Island. Point one: It’s mirelurk-free. And when you’re blind, you can’t really go around fighting mirelurks like you used to. The beacon is a lifesaver- it provides a haven in a lawless world, a place where Cole doesn’t have to huddle in a corner and hope, just hope that nothing kills him.
And being safe doesn’t mean he’ll take whatever dirt hole he gets, oh no. Cole could actually build stuff on this island, a half-decent shack to keep out the nuclear rain and whatever else the radioactive world wanted to throw at him. Sure, he’d need the help of a couple of settlers to do it, but hopefully a couple of Nuka-Colas would win them over.
He won’t admit it, but a big reason he stays is because of the ghouls the safe island attracts. He can’t see them, so he’s not bothered by their appearance at all. They’re not all feral either, like the human settlers would tell him. Some are quite civil and friendly- and they don’t mind his blindness. They’d probably be the only beings he considers friends, even if all they do is hang around and occasionally speak a few words. At least he’s not alone.
Probably the dealmaker for this island is the fact that it is an island. Cole can often be found just sitting on the ravaged shoreline, staring blankly out to sea. The sound of the waves soothes him. They’re constant, rhythmic, and full of stories. Listening to the sea, he can imagine a time before the Great War. A time when the ocean would’ve actually been beautiful.
A time when he wouldn’t be blind.
(Apologies for any inaccuracies! I'm not a Fallout player.)

Name: Karvin Stupopolis
Gender: Male
Personality: Karvin tries to act tough, and when beating up supermutants, he is. However, he's afraid of any buglike creatures and is actually quite squeemish. Karvin pretends he is 'cool' even though he spends literally all his time playing Fallout 4. When in public, he tries to be smooth. Emphasis on tries. He fails, and ends up falling on his face, along with any pickup lines he attempted to dish out. Most girls ignore him, even though he is a ladies man. If only he could find someone who had a love for gaming that was as big as his... He has a lowkey crush on Piper, and always sets her as his companion. He's beaten all of the Fallout games multiple times, which definitely looks good on his dating profile not. He is pretty clumsy, mostly because he's gotten so used to sitting down that he has trouble walking. His eyes are always strained from staring at a screen for too long. Oh, and he is a console gamer. PC Master Race members are one of his triggers.
Favourite location and why: Red Rocket truck stop! Dogmeat is Karvin's life. He actually cried when Dogmeat was accidentally killed by a deathclan, and rewinded his save game in order to stop his death.

Name: Alium {Latin for: Something else, different}
Gender: Male
Personality: Alium holds up to his name, definitely the odder one out. He seems to not really want to contribute or do much, and has a very laid-back attitude. Some view it as laziness, others just a desire to not want to participate. But, truth is, he does. He, however, likes to keep people's expectations low that way others appreciate him more when he does something constructive. Although he is lax, he doesn't turn a blind eye when someone is in need of assistance; he just doesn't like to participate on a normal or regular basis. Alium also takes to enjoying the simple things that are left in the life he now has, and this is why he hangs about the Dino-Bite Gift Shop so, so frequently.
Favourite location and why: The Dino-Bite Gift Shop has always been Alium's favorite place to visit, as it always has been. He frequents the storage room the most, since he enjoys the Dinky souvenir stuffed animals (all one-thousand of them), and loves to play with the REPCONN rockets too, despite them being recalled so many years prior for the incidents regarding the children that purchased them and the radioactive consumption. Cliff, the owner of the shop, usually doesn't mind that Alium does this so often, since he has admitted more than once that he can never sell the rockets, much less the T-Rexes. Although blind, he seems to enjoy the items even better, thinking that since he didn't have much to call a childhood, these toys may give the feel of what it may have been like. He usually ends up leaning against the Sunset Sarsaparilla vending machine when doing so, one hand with an abandoned rocket and the other containing a Dinky stuffed dinosaur. Sometimes, he'll even take the flight of stairs up to the mouth of the T-Rex in the gift shop, just to unwind a bit.
