What are Novibats?

Novibats are a unique species of bats that can take up residence anywhere their heart desires...

Novibats are bequeathed with special "star-stones" that operate as magical transforming agents. Once they come of age, their star stone changes color (the little diamond in the center) and they undergo a permanent metamorphosis which results in their designation to a specific biome. Once metamorphosed, it is incredibly difficult to leave and often results in death because the Novibat is not suited to other climates. Novibats can then remove their star stones, as it loses most magical properties it held and becomes a memento for the Novibat. However, they usually keep them around their necks as it is something they keep with them all their lives as physical memories of their homeland and the Star-Stones serve as a form of name tag.

(ghost story time) so imagine you are staying at someone's home. you walk into the guest room and leave the lights off. you then notice a painting on the wall; you say alright, cool I'll have a look at that in the morning. the net day you wake up and you realize the "painting" was actually a window.

(ghost story time) well it was a late summers night, out in the country a house stood alone. the nearest neighbor was miles and miles away. A small breeze blew the trees around, but a scratching sound came from the nearby window. The residence of the house sighed, getting up to look out the window nothing was there. they were confused and sat back down. And once again the tapping cam. this time they hesitated to get up but did, looking out the window there was nothing out side. they stood by the window, wanting to see what it was. they jumped as a knock came from the door. the quickly went over and opened the door. there stood a white and red novibat. "uh hi, do you know how to get to the next town? i tried knocking on the window but nobody came, heh, sorry"

(ghost story time) So there's an island off the west of coast England and they say strange things happen over there. The time of day matters not for the happenings occur in both the day and the night. Originally it was thought to be the result of dumb chavs messing around trying to scare people but when multiple bodies were found with gruesome wounds. People began to suspect something wasn't quite right.

They were right to think that of course. In the middle ages the island was a home to a vast sprawling estate, the owner of it was said to have been a witch who performed the blackest of magic. Stories claim that in order for her keep her hair it's beautiful rich red color the Witch stained her hair with virgin blood every night. They say she raised the dead and danced naked on full moon nights with demons she had summoned and bent to her control.

The witch is said to have slaughtered thousands and used their blood in the biggest most demanding ritual ever to have been written down. One that would giver her everlasting life.

Beware the island of twilight for if you go there, the rumors say you will never return.
