family tradition;; Every year, during the spring when cherry blossoms bloom, Mizu and her family go to the beautiful river near their tatami home in the country side of Japan. They love to search for

the biggest koi. Whoever finds the biggest gets to be the first to fly their Koinobori kite first! In other words, it's just means you found the biggest fish, but Mizu loves to be the one to fo first! Usually, it's her mother who wins, as she grew up on the tradition, but not this year! Mizu won and she still brags about it to this day!

family tradition;; ok so since his design relates to Kodomo no hi/children's day I want his tradition to as well so his family's tradition is they all get together including their extended family on children's day and make Kashiwamochi by hand and usually all the young ones in the family enjoy it and the older ones take some to the other families nearby <3 His family is pretty much known by the community for this tradition and people look forward to it every year, he has a rather large family so their tradition spreads far and so does their Mochi! They also have made it a tradition to draw rolls from a hat to seperate everyone into groups to decide who does what and who delivers mochi where. They have a little tradition with how they make the mochi look as well, they always use a small cookie cutter to make a star-shaped hole in the leaf, this is just for decoration but also to in a way sign their creation. they also make Sakuramochi around the time Sakura trees bloom but it's not as big of an event and not as many family members come to participate *kashiwamochi is a sweet made on children's day but I assume most people can figure that out if they don't already know what it is XD* Here's a picture of what it looks like, I wanna eat it lol:


I'm not even kidding I just heard of children's day in a manga I was reading like a second ago this is way too perfect I actually got his name from that manga lol I'll think of the tradition in a sec pssssh I only currently own one Kalon so thank goodness I can enter because I'm in love with this guy and literally have developed an interest in the holiday because of that manga so this timing feels like fate lol XD// tradition now added~ I really love this guy so I wish I could add more or pretty up my form but I'm not good at writing these or at coding X'D

Nothing says fun than a competition with 10 thousand dollars on the line. Every year for new years, Yami's family would split into two and engage in friendly mini-games and such like mochi making and three legged races. Each event or mini-game gives some points and which ever team has the most points win the 10 thousand dollar everyone saved up. This year, Yami was part of the hide and seek team. The host would hide objects around a large forest. Each object gives a different amount of points. Unfortunately, Yami ran around for an hour and only found one hidden object. Good thing his team is better at finding stuff and managed to pull ahead!

tamura and his family make sweet mochi every half-moon and crescent moon. they make the mochi in the shape of half-moons and crescent-moons, depending upon the day they do them.

i'm just now seeing someone else's idea relates to mochi, please don't think i stole it!!
