What is a Laurelei?
Within the deepest reaches of a mysterious forest area, explorers have discovered a docile mammalian species with similar characteristics of a deer. Named 'Laurelei', these creatures have somehow become fused with a wide variety of plant life. No one knows what happened within the forest to have caused such a phenomenon, so in a quest for knowledge, scientists and adventurers alike have set up camps in the area to explore the forest and unlock the mystery behind these strange animals.

From the moment their first flowers bloom, each Laurelei is accompanied by a unique bird that keeps insects away from their delicate flowers. These birds are accurately titled 'the caretaker' because they are often more intelligent than their Laurelei, and also because Laurelei become quickly distressed without the presence of their avian companion.

personality; ava is an easily angered little laurelei. they love getting into situations where they get in trouble or get another creature in trouble. ava is mysterious to many, keeping her personal life out of the new-talk. they are short-tempered, though at times can be patient, selfless, lionhearted, and make good, correct choices for themselves. they enjoy getting into fights and watching anger unfold from another creature. to a degree, ava is like a fire.her anger can be easily started, though easily extinguished if you do it correctly. if not, her fire will burn brighter and bigger, until it becomes a bonfire of anger, remarks, and insults. they're a really good actor and guilt tripper, fake crying to get someone to say sorry to them. ava isn't greedy, and instead can be like a kind little flame. believe it or not, ava feels small and so they act bigger than they are. they consider themselves a nerd for having known each species of tree, grass, fungi, plant, animal, insect, and not only that giving names to each type they learned, including rivers, flames, and mountains.
why they like warmth; at a young age, ava was always near a fire. they believes it kept darkness away, and to their childish mind at the time, it did. the fire, and everything warm or bright, attracted ava, and they eventually felt a sense of security around something bright and/or warm.

░x personality; amira is a bubbly gal, she's very energetic and loves to make friends which sparks her popularity. a lot of creatures know her by her friendly personality, but she's only friendly when you get to know her better. most of the time amira is very timid and shy, she likes to be independent but will play with her caretaker since they both have a very close bond. amira loves to joke around and make everyone laugh, she's like the sunshine on a rainy day.
