cherished object; Mei's most beloved possession would likely be his beauty kit. The flashy plastic exterior indicates that it was likely marketed for young girls, a playtime toy of no real use. But the elastics and brushes of many sizes and colours assist Varfolomei in keeping his curly silver mane in check. It's usual rough state has lead to many whispers and exchanged glances outside of his control, and this birthed his uncontrollable insecurity. Mei feels that if he keeps his gangly fluff in order, maybe those around him will speak to him, instead of constantly chatting about him, behind his back. The colourful bands and brushes do often end up drawing attention to him, but he doesn't mind; until things star screwing up. The second a snicker erupts from a passing group, Varfolomei becomes ten times smaller, and feels a hundred times more anxious. The only thing Mei could never be embarrassed of, is the beauty kit itself. The shiny pink cover might look unfashionable, or just plain ugly to others, but he adores it with all his heart. He's had it since he was just a young boy. His parents assumed it to be a rather strange phase, but Varfolomei was sure it'd stick with him for quite a while; who knows whether he'll ever give it up? But no matter how many times he's made to blush in insecurity due to the contents of the cherished beauty kit, the actual item could never even come close to embarrassing Mei. ( 250 / 250 )

friend; Crispus and Varfolomei have been friends as long as the two can remember. Mei met his dear friend in the younger years of grade school, and Crispus was the only one who didn't seem to mind his always carrying around the beauty kit. The other plumerian's chill, go-with-the-flow attitude relieved Varfolomei - at least for a few moments at a time - and Mei can always go to Crispus when he needs some company he's sure won't cause him need to be insecure. Varfolomei can get quite clingy to Crispus at times, with him being one of his only friends. ( 100 / 100 )

He was a bright-eyed ten year-old who prided himself on his bicycle—the Speedster Combo, so named for its ability to transform into a unicycle (not safe, I know). Whisking along one day, he noticed something ahead. Cold, sickly fear seeped into his chest—it was the neighborhood toughie. This kid was a full 5 feet tall, husky, and menacing. Atal, the poor twig, had had run-ins with this guy before, and they all ended with Atal looking like he did after his bike transformed into a unicycle mid-jump. Atal slowed his pace, cautiously treading closer to the hulking figure.
The kid waved him over, treating Atal to a fabulous view of his yellowed incisors.
"Hey pee-wee, come 'ere!"
"Pee-wee" timidly obeyed. He didn't say a word.
"Look! I found some, er, magic beans! You plant 'em, wait a while, and up sprouts a full-blown Jack 'n the Beanstalk! I don't want 'em so you can have 'em."
Atal's mouth and eyes expanded to almost the same astonished diameter.
" You can have 'em…for your bike. Only fair."
Atal was still stunned that this conversation had continued for a full minute without his face being introduced to a fist, so he numbly obliged.
The kid tossed some speckled purple, kidney-like objects his way, and zoomed off.

Of course, the "magic" bean never so much as sprouted, but Atal keeps one now, on a thin chain around his neck, to remind himself of the danger in taking others at face value.

Audie carries around a rather large and awkward object, that a lot of plumerians tend to judge her for, subconsciously at the least. In her jaws, she almost always carries a bird cage, but it's what's inside that really counts. Inside rests a large fishbowl, with a small amount of water, a few small stones, and a large koi fish who is often in visible discomfort. An occasionally extremely irrational plumerian, one day Aud found herself actually looking inside of the familiar pet store that she walked past nearly every day. Despite the fact that she had to be at work in just 10 minutes, the bright orange and white fish with its shimmering scales seemed to captivate her completely, to the point where she was unable to think clearly. Still, she might not have stopped to go into the store had the fish not been held in such a cramped bowl. As quickly as she could, she bought the fish and its bowl, as well as a birdcage just large enough to hold the bowl, as walking down the streets of New York with an awkward and fragile fishbowl was not something she wanted to see herself doing.
While she planned only to drop the fish off in central park's pond on her way home, she decided to keep it in its strange container, transferring it to larger bodies of water when possible but always scooping it back up in its bizarre "home" afterwards.

At first glance it seems so childish that Tatl would keep this by his side. It's a rugged and faded purple dinosaur, it could have once been a stegosaurus but it has been through so much wear and tear. There are some plates missing along its back and there is even a spike that somehow disappeared from it's tail. It's covered in misshaped patches and half baked stitches. This small toy has been through the thick and thin of Tatl's life. Although it's usually safely tucked away in a satchel or a backpack, it's head peeks out to get just as good of a view as Tatl gets.

When describing the relationship between these two dorks the first words that may come to mind are alon the lines of "interesting", "entertaining", or "hilarious". They are happy and bright. Between Misha and Tatl there is a lot of friendly banter and platonic "flirting", which is nothing like flirting. It's mainly just teasing and them messing around / pulling pranks. Some people may think their friendship is eater cheesy or annoying, but they think it's the best thing since mint chocolate ice cream covered in whipped cream.
