Name:
Aiah
A simple, graceful name meaning bird, specifically falcon or vulture.
Nickname:
Lullaby
A gentle nickname given to her by Elizabeth for her sweet, almost mournful voice.
Gender:
Female
Background:
Aiah's charge was a young woman of a pure heart who lost her father, her only parent, while he was on a business trip. The girl, Elizabeth, lived "alone" in her father's house which was left to her. Aiah, however, didn't feel like she "lived" in the young woman's home, but she did reside there. She was always a bit more stern than normal luxes, and tended to be a bit more grounded. Even so, she very much loved Elizabeth and would do anything in her power to keep her safe, so they were rarely seen apart. Aiah even shared a certain respect for Elizabeth, and for her life. However, being alone started to take its toll on Elizabeth, and her pure soul began to be overwhelmed by darkness, and as she fell away, so did Aiah. Soon after, Elizabeth died from the cancer that killed her mother. Aiah wasn't able to save her soul, which completely destroyed her. Many years later, during a certain equinox, she is attacked and seriously wounded by a celestial beast roaming the human world. A young girl named Alice finds her and attempts to care for her. Aiah is reminded of Elizabeth when looking at her, which fills her with regret, but makes her stronger. She accepts the help of the girl and begins to want to be with her for as long as she can. The more she feels this, the more she feels as if a large hole within her is slowly beginning to fill and mend.
Poetry:
Remenice
I was there when you found out
that you were all alone
from a strangers voice at the other end
of your corded hallway phone
She had to call your relatives
and mispronounced your name
and told you that you should be there
on the earliest Saturday train
You heard the silence in the walls
the footsteps creeping in the halls
like the child inside you used to hear
on dreary nights so full of fear
But you had me to keep you warm
safe from terror and from harm
when times were worst I found a way
to keep you going day by day
I lulled you till you were asleep
gave my grace for your soul to keep
and all was safe and all was bright
out of mind and out of sight
"Oh sing to me your lullabies
of lilies and of love
and protect me from this world so harsh
my guardian grey-winged dove."
Exile
(Speaking to my species)
Don't sing to me your lullabies
of lilies and of angels
long have I been untouched by child born fantasy
of rules laid out for unexplainable things
creatures of toiling optimism
how do you speak of me as the betrayer
you who exiled me from your realm
paths laid out like red carpets over crystal stairs
while mine rots in basements
long untouched by golden rays through pure unhaunted eyes
and unshadowed heart.
Candlelight,Candlebright
Love is the faint glow
of a small candle in the middle of the night
carried by a dawning memory
of gentle eyes and grins
Love is the pain
of scrapes and bruises
of bite marks and slashes
being bandaged by tiny hands
Love is the voice
that carries you home
and lays you down and brings you close
and swears it will protect you
Love is the feeling
of a deep, dark void
at the center of your being
filling with glimmering candlelight
Alice's Lullaby
You saved me from the path I lead
of broken stars and that of dread
You say we may have to part?
You wrapped me up and took me home
don't send me back all on my own
You said you'd sing to me
Whoever you are chosen to be with, I know they will love and protect you.

Well, I kind of repeated select things in my poems to make it sound like more of a story narrative. I hope it's good ^^ I'm not a good coder but I'll see what I can do to pretty this up, and I'll also try to get some art done if I can~
