A Balligon is an alligator , bat , dragon hybrid. They have short fur and and scaley areas, such as their ears, chests, bellies, and their tails. Balligons have long, sharp claws that they use for catching food , defending themselves , and for fighting, though they don't fight too often. They usually live in small groups of about 3-5. All Balligons have two small bells on their tails. They aren't used for anything, but all Balligons have them, whether they found them or they were passed down from their parents. They most like to be around water, as they love to swim and catch fish.

There once was a Balli named Smitten,
Whose fur was as soft as a kitten,
She loved the cold snow, such a sweet Eskimo,
Too bad she misplaced her mittens!

Basically, Smitten adores the snow and the fresh, cooling effect it has. She's a shy little thing, but once you befriend her she's as bubbly as a kid's birthday party. The reason she's named Smitten is simply because everyone who meets her just adores her quirky personality!
