He was an outcast from the other foals until one day he bravely taunted the future herd stallion when he was picking on another foal. The other foal challenged him in disbelief, and Camelot quickly rose to the challenge. The other foal beat Camelot quickly in their swift fight and nocked Camelot to the ground. While Camelot watched as the foal walked away with his cheering peers he noticed the foal kept glancing back at his, curiosity in his eyes.
A few days later, the lead foal returned, but this time alone. The lead foal end up awkwardly extending a hoof of friendship, saying that no one has every challenged him before and he found that he liked it. As they grew up, Camelot’s friend taught him many things about the world, including how to defend himself. While others were muscular and could overpower predators, Camelot used his speed and agility to outmaneuver threats. He became a swift and worthy fighter that would help defend the herd at all costs.
One day a cougar attacked the lead stallion and Camelot used his speed to swiftly help in the fight when he saw his friend loosing. During the fight, Camelot obtained a grave wound to his neck that eventually healed into an ugly scar. Camelot, though proud of the scar, would get looks from others because of it. He also would sometimes scare the foals. As a gift to help hide the scar, the lead stallion gave Camelot a piece of red cloth with a bowtie that could go around his neck. Ever since then, Camelot wore the red bowtie with pride, showing that of his friendship with the now leader of the herd and that he bravely defended the herd.
