► WHAT ARE VOLKS?


Volks are immortal nocturne wolf-like creatures, found by humans in a foreign planet a few years ago. Volks do not breed and the birth of these creatures is still unknown.
Their main features are very long ears and tail, feathers on their cheek fur and tail and long and sharp claws. Their pupils are always the exact same color as the iris, making it look like they have no pupil at all. Their feathers, nose, claws, ear fur and tongue glow in the dark. Their size is close to a wolf's. Volks are very agile creatures due to their slim bodies, making it easy for them to escape in any kind of situations. They can easily swim and climb trees. Volks have an omnivore diet, even though they feed mostly on fruits.
Volks are smart creatures, extremely friendly and curious. Some of them are usually tamed by humans before reaching their maturity. Once you tame a wolf, both you and your wolf receive the same marking on the same body part, representing your bond. Some markings are simple and some markings are complex - the complexity of the marking matches the effort of the taming process.

History: When he was born, he was different from the rest of the litter, so his mother abused him and kicked him out of the nest. He had to survive on his own, scavenging fruits to keep him alive.
How I found it: He was in full maturity at this point. I was strolling through a graveyard, and I saw him lying on the ground. I pet him, and he got up dramatically and nuzzled me. Aww!
Why I want this Volk: He looks one-of-a-kind, unique, special, and somewhat cute.

Personality;; Quinton is very confident. He is pretty laid-back and carefree and perceived by others is confident and a well-rounded volk. He isn't as self-absorbed as he sounds, though, because he is still great at giving advice and helping out others. He's sort of Kova's right hand man. er. volk.
He and his trainer are great at communication considering they don't speak the same language.
History;; Quinton currently lives in a graveyard. He lost part of his tail and part of one of his back claws when fighting for territory (the graveyard) with another animal. He was able to win, but lost part of his limbs in the process. He thinks it was worth it, though. He was able to replace them. Sort of like a prosthetic, but made of bones. He's never wanted a trainer, but he ran into a young teenage boy who looked scared and lost. Quinton hasn't left his side since. However Henry is more of Quinton's friend than his trainer, honestly.
How I found it;;
Quinton's POV
Quinton doesn't have a trainer, unlike most other volks out there. Correction- he doesn't want one. He much prefers his independence. As if he'll act like some sort of trained animal for humans to play around with. Ha! What a joke. These were Quinton's thoughts as he hung around his current home. There was a graveyard nearby which he often liked to hang around, but only at night. This is his territory. He's earned it. So you can only imagine that he was not delighted when he heard the rustle of trees and the pungent smell of humans. Normally Quinton just scares them off. It usually does the trick. He never hurts them though, that just isn't in his nature. He knows it's wrong. The wide-eyed boy who stepped into the graveyard looked around frantically and mumbled something that Quinton couldn't understand in that strange human language of theirs. It was dark, and Quinton was out of sight as he just watched the boy curiously. He was probably lost. Before he'd decided to show himself, the boy noticed him and stopped dead in his tracks. They exchanged eye contact for a moment before the boy did something Quinton did not expect. The boy stepped towards him, as if he knew what he was. Maybe he did. Suddenly Quinton began to panic. What if he was a trainer and would force me back with him? But he dismissed the thought as easily as it was created in his mind. Nonsense. Quinton could tear this kid to shreds if he wanted to, he won't mess around with him. He looked like a smart kid. Suddenly the kid yelled something out.
Henry's POV
"Maggie! Come over here!"
Henry's sister came running out, with Kova right behind her.
"Look, maybe he and Kova know eachother."
Maggie shrugged. "What's up with its limbs?" Maggie motioned Kova towards the nameless volk.
Kova walked towards the lone volk. Henry wasn't sure what they were doing. Communicating, probably. However Volks communicate. Henry can only assume that Kova did what Maggie had implied, because soon, the nameless volk was following Kova right behind him.
"Looks like you finally got your dragon, and Kova's got a friend!" Maggie said, excitedly.
"They're not dragons, I told you that like a million times. They're called volks."
"Whatever. Come on, let's go find a place to hide him from uncle Russell*."
*On Kova's form, Russell is the "old white coat" aka the old scientist guy who originally helped test on volks to make sure they were friendly and safe enough to release to the public. Kova assumed Maggie was his kin, which he was right, Maggie is his niece and Henry is his nephew.
Why I want this Volk;; I've already created a character that is meant to be a volk trainer, i'm just looking for the right volk for him c: (there is some information about him here. I ordered some art of him so i'll hopefully be able to show ya before this contest ends!)
But anyways, I'm currently looking for a volk for him, and I really like this one! I think a part skeletal volk is an awesome idea.

I actually decided to stop being lazy and do a sketch of henry myself? wow, who knew! lol

Name: Bonnie
Gender: Female
History: Bonnie was always very kind and perky. Unfortunately, no one else saw that in her. They always saw her as a beast; a snarling, drooling monster. Of course, Bonnie had never acted like any of those descriptions in her life, she even tried to only eat meat when she could find it already dead, but that made it worse...Alas,she was always being judged by looks. Her bone-bare tail and leg, her spines almost popping out of Username:
How I found it: I was walking in the woods, when I saw this thing eating at a deer's carcass ( I'm not going to lie, I thought she was a fox when I first saw her ). I stepped back a little and tried to take pictures, but a twig snapped under my foot. Her ears immediately perked up and she bolted in a random direction. Unfortunately, that was my direction, and she crashed into me.She seemed to think I wasn't really a threat, so she walked beside me. It was then that I actually looked at her. She had a bone leg and tail. "Yikes.." I picked her up and decided to bring her home and help her.
Why I want it: Again, never had a Volk, and an event one would be nice.

Gender: Female
History: She was waiting for someone, having crashed in a forest. she wandered into a concert, and she saw a little boy with facepaint. he looked over at sally, noticing her bland colors, and used the facepaint to design something to represent his passed loved one. eventually all the others joined in, and she learned that sometimes you must wait for the perfect person.
How I found it: wip
Why I want this Volk: she is a beauty, and I love how she looks
